Good Monday morning everyone! I can honestly say that last night was a trial. Champ is getting on my nerves with all the dang pinks. Let's hope today is better!

I think Champ has finally gotten it through his head that he doesn't get fed until 6 a.m., regardless whether his mama gets up earlier than that or not. I got up at 4:30 this morning to catch up on work (didn't feel like working this weekend!!), and he didn't even bother to show his furry face until 5:45!! Which is a good thing because I always feel bad having to make him wait for his food. Now if we can just get him to return to the lower floors, that would be wonderful. Here's hoping for some blue in our future!! :-D

YAY...he's coming down!! I tell you one thing, Patty dear, this FD has been a real character building thing for me in that it is slowly teaching me patience but I still do not hav the patience that most do. You're doing great!!

Patience is definitely in short supply around here, but it is getting through my thick skull that I can't do one thing more than what I'm doing so I might as well buckle up cuz it's going to be a bumpy ride. :lol:

You'll notice that dear ol' Champ has gotten onto the blue floor. Of course, he did it in leaps and bounds instead of gentle slides which means nasty things may be ahead.

We've actually had thunderstorms here this morning, which I LOVE and Champ HATES!! His favorite place lately (even before the thunderstorms) has been under my daughter's bed. Even though my daughter is 19, she's just a little bitty thing at just under 5' so her bed is only about 8" off the floor. Champ has to crawl on his belly to get under the bed and he goes so far under it that the only way I'll be able to get him out in an emergency is by taking the mattress and box springs off and going in after him. I've tried to block off any way for him to get under there, but it makes me feel bad because he obviously finds it comforting under there. I've even shown him other places around the house where he can "hibernate," but he wants nothing to do with them...only under my daughter's bed. Now with the thunderstorms, he seems desperate to get under there, but I just can't let him because I want to be able to keep an eye on him.

As I'm writing this, I go to find out where he's got to and guess what??? He's under my daughter's bed. I put her laundry basket, lying on it's side, blocking the area where he's been entering. He moved that sucker!!! What a character. I'm just going to let him go until I can find a permanent way to block any entrance.

I'm so glad you got your wish today.. What a beautiful blue number from your boy..
My Charlie Bear is deftly afraid of storms also. I'm glad to see Champ has MacGyver abilities to figure out how to move things if he really wants too. That would have been cool to witness, even if it did make the bean not so happy.. :lol:

Yay for Champ!! Seems like he really wants to please his momma and is a day late on her Mothers Day present, but he pulled thru and did it!!

Now stay down Champ......or you might get another dosecrease in the near future. (sound threathening enough?)

Leo on the other hand had a RED morning....after all those pretty blues we saw yesterday. Oh well, i'm trying to learn how to be more patient and i'm with ya on the there's nothing more i can do than what i'm doing comment.

Very nice cycle for Champ!!! Nice to see that blue....maybe he'll come back down.

I am so JEALOUS for your rain. It all passed north of us and all we got was cooler temps (which I am thankful for) and WIND!!! :lol:

omg on the under the bed, and moving the basket to get there. Guess he was on a mission!

I like your patience comment - the one thing that dealing with this FD thing has taught me is Patience. the ride has been bumpy, awesome, scary, frustrating, happy - all at the same time. We just keep on doing what we do, the best that we can.

Had one of 'those' days today. I couldn't go to bed without at least saying 'hi'. Champ doesn't look too bad, at least his PM is less than AM. Have a good night, Patty. You too Champers.
