MORNING LANTUS LAND!
Since this is our final condo before the party, I agreed to let Scrabble post for me today so here goes! (sorry if it is a little long) oh and also doesn't it figure that we get our highest number on the last day of the trial??? Go figure!
Hey everyone, it's Scrabble my mamabean said I could post today!
I was born on Sep 19,1996 and my Mom picked me out at the Humane Society. I saw her looking at all the kitties and I went right up to the glass to see her and she picked me right away. I was only 8 weeks old and I could fit in the palm of her hand, little did she know how big I was going to get!!! She took me home and I met my sister Jerry Lee (GA). We hit it off right away. My first week with my Mom was pretty rough, I developed an upper respitory infection and she thought I was going to die but I was a trooper and pulled through! A couple of months later I broke my leg. I was trying to run out of the house and got my leg stuck in the door. My Mom was so worried about me but luckily I was so young that I just had to wear a cast for a few weeks and it healed all up! My sister Jerry Lee ended up getting sick (with diabetes) and there wasn't all the info that there is today about it and my Mom was young and the vets didn't give her much hope so she had her put to sleep, my Mom was devastated. So after moving across the country to be with my now Daddy she decided to get me another companion and that is when Sabrina came into our lives. I was mad at first because I wanted all of Mom's attention but I quickly got used to her and now we are best buds!
When I was diagnosed with diabetes I thought my Mom was going to lose it. The vet that diagnosed me was a real jerk to her and he gave her no hope. He told her that she was being neurotic for wanting to hometest and that a diet would not change my condition! Luckily my Mom is persistent and she found all of you guys and found me a new vet. She spent so many days losing sleep trying to help me. She banged her head against the wall the first month and a half because I wasn't regulated and figured this was now going to be her life but somehow my pancreas starting working again. I kept scaring her by dropping my numbers so much especially when she was at work and no one was home with me. She was so stressed.
I am so glad I made my Mom so happy because I am her little boy and she loves me more than anything. I hope I can continue to stay off of insulin!
I am so amazed at all the friends me and my Mom have met, we will miss everyone but plan to visit often and keep in touch. I am rooting for all the kitties to get otj!!
My Mom is crying right now reading this, she is so emotional. I made her a little nervous this morning with my number, I told her it is fine and normal but she still worries about me every day!
Thanks for letting me post, we will miss having a condo every day!!!
