Yesterday, green start and flat night.

5/7 Recap:
AMPS 96:D +6.5 185 +9.5 153
PMPS 123 +6 121 +9 122 (sure glad I got up to catch that one )

It's another beautiful day for cats. Neko is once again sprawled under one of the chairs in the solarium, taking in the warmth and fresh breezes of spring. She doesn't like to go into the solarium until the last of her morning meals have been served, so she was anxious for me to get on with it. She wolfed her food, then pushed Theo out of the way and finished his, then out the cat door to the solarium.

OT: Civie Theo is limping again today. I don't know what he does, but every once in a while his limp gets worse. I have a call into vetty to see if they can see him. I did get a good video on the camera, because as soon as he goes into the vet he is a limp rag.

OT2: Small change up to rowing tomorrow. Most of the equipment is over on Vancouver Island for a regatta for the juniors, but coach has arranged an opportunity to row with a club across the inlet. One of our fellow rowers has offered to take us there in his small boat. And the timing is perfect as we get to sleep in, do AMPS, then hit the water. Might need sunscreen.

Neko, you are quite the character!! No doubt who calls the shots at your house :D
I hope Theo's limp is nothing serious. Lulu had a bad limp once, probably from landing hard on her back leg. Was on cage rest for a week, but all better now.
Sounds like tomorrow is going to be a great day, get to sleep in before rowing. Don't get a sunburn :)

Neko knows what she wants, when she wants it. Hope Theo's limp improves, perhaps it's just a strain, paws crossed.
Have fun tomorrow, and enjoy the extra lie in.

I hope Theo didn't get the limp from Miss Neko's hip and shoulder to get to his breffis! Gotta love a kitty that knows what she wants and takes it though ;)

Enjoy your rowing with a sleep in tomorrow, sounds perfect :)

Thank goodness for miss flat cat.

(condo hijack) Vetty had a spot open so I took Theo in. She did X-rays, just to see if there was something up. I got to go in the back room and help set him up for the x-ray, then stepped away while it zapped, then back in again. And got to look at the digital x-ray on the screen. I like how they let the caregiver get involved in treatment. Vetty thinks it is probably soft tissue injury and every once in a while he does something to make it worse. X-ray showed some arthritis on left elbow, which could be contributing, but his right side neck was really tight. There was also some arthritis on the spine. Well that makes 3 for 3 of my last few cats for arthritis. Theo is getting some bupe to help with pain. Thankfully I am a apothecary of arthritis relief at home. I might even give him some Duralactin. We'll keep an eye on things and see if he needs Cartrophen. And to add insult to injury, he got an anal sac expression. (end condo hijack)

@ Lori, Suki, Peg, Carla, Serryn - Neko is definitely boss in this house!

my vet is like that too... I'm always in the back with them.
I don't think it takes much for any of us to suffer with arthritis.
I think cats can develop it by jumping down from two high on their front leg bones.... Mine used to jump from 10 ft down....
can't really be much different than humans with a broken bone....later in life becomes arthritis ...
Hopefully he'll feel better soon with the pain meds.

poor little butt... that pain relief should help there too....

sounds like a good day tomorrow....
be considerate Neko....

Pecking order is alive and well in your house I see. Go Neko, you show them who is boss of the food!

Glad Theo didn't have any nasty issues with his leg. Poor Theo, it is not his day. First someone takes his food and then someone expresses his anal sac. Poor boy....here are some cuddles for you:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Bron beat me to it - I was going to say that poor Theo got it in both ends today!!!! I'm sure you gave him some extra lovin' when he got home. Sending healing vines for him.

Neko, you show them who is the queen! ;)
