Happy Mother’s Day.
Max moved during his shot this morning so he got a partial fur shot. He’s been a grouchy old man the last few days and doesn’t want to sit still to get BG checks/insulin, especially if he’s hungry. He’s a 19 pound, muscular cat so he can be difficult when he gets an attitude. I’ve got a few scratches to prove it. He won’t get many pokes today since that happened so he should be happy with himself.
I’m sure I will be spending time with family most of today anyway.

Hunh? I cannot believe this. Max wanted my attention too today I guess. I was pretty sure at least some of that dose this morning didn’t make it in him. I smelled a hint of insulin on his fur too. This is weird.

Sometimes there is a drop of insulin on the end of the needle from when you adjust the dose, and that ends up on the fur. Plus, if I had a dollar from everytime someone said "furshot" and kitty went diving, I'd be rich. :p Plus there's that depot. And it's six cycles after his last stretch of green, so bounce breaking.

Yes it was a nice present! Especially after our wrestling match this morning lol. I am so surprised that the insulin even made it into him. I was holding on to him for dear life. I guess he did get the full dose though or most of it. Should I take that off of my SS about the ??? furshot? That makes sense though about the bounce breaking and the depot he has built up. Oh and I know now why he's been so grouchy. He hacked up a giant hairball right in front of my daughter in law today. Gee thanks Max. Anyway he seems to feel better. I hope he does well through the night.

Do you know why he's been so grumpy lately? Any ideas?

Thank you. His pancreatitis has been bothering him lately. He’s also having some constipation issues at times. I think on top of all that today he had a hairball and threw up all over the bed in the guest bedroom.
