Yesterday's Condo:

Well, this is an interesting cycle. Not sure why Cinco decided to go up so early - he got the same lc food all morning. I guess he thinks Mama is getting too complacent. :rolleyes:

Minka's appy was bleah this morning, so she got Cypro and more Ondansetron. She was eating better a half hour later, but of course I gave her the current "favorite" (which could change at any moment), Avoderm Salmon Consomme - high in phosphorus, but she'll eat it, so....

Sasha is a little slow to polish off her food lately in the morning, so I'm considering giving her the same tummy meds Minka gets first thing every morning. It did seem to help when I gave her some Ondansetron yesterday. Her breathing is still good, so I'm loving the new med!

Harvey didn't like this morning's entree (Wellness Salmon & Trout - which I chose because Minka has eaten it recently, so of course, today she didn't). I offered Wellness Turkey, which he usually avoids, and he scarfed it right down :rolleyes:. I am convinced they are all playing this game with me - okay, Harvey,you didn't like this last week, so that's all you'll eat today. Sasha, you loved this three days in a row, so ignore it today. Minka, don't eat anything till the baby food comes out! Cinco, stop eating halfway through the meal and wait for the crushed FD salmon sprinkles! Cinco? Cinco! I said stop eating!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Got lots of chores to try to catch up on, so must step away from the PC. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

I think Cinco went chasing after China today....she went into the woods to pick wildflowers instead of going for a swim I think

Hopefully both of them will find their way back to the lagoon and do a little splashing around tonight!

Great to hear that Sasha's breathing is better and I saw that Minka put on some weight too :)

Re cat sack: Vyktor doesn't like me messing with his back legs much but is so much better since we started the joint guard. He doesn't yowl when I go near his back end anymore :) so I guess we'll just get one and see. I'm sure I'll be able to find it a good home if we can't use it. Do you use the original or one of those extra zippered varieties?
 
@Vyktors Mum, I have the one with the zippers on the top and bottom, as well as two in the front. I use it not only to pill but to trim Harvey's nails. You can pull one leg through on of the openings and keep the others contained. You may not need the extra zippers, but we have found them very useful. I hope it works for you. My cat sitter has one, too, which has come in handy since I started boarding Harvey there!
 
I hope all the appetites are good tonight. Hopefully the three will meet up in the lagoon tonight.

Minka is not feeling well. She looks like she did a week or so ago - all hunched over, can't get comfy. Won't eat. I've gotten almost half a jar of baby food into her, a small spoonful every five minutes or so. I gave her some infant gas drops, and after much consideration, .15ml of Bupe. She just looks so miserable, it breaks my heart. :( This is just killing me.
 
Well China made it down to the lagoon tonight....Is Cinco going to be watching tonight or is Max coming too??

Poor Minka. What did her oncologist say about her in general?i wonder if she needs a change in chemo drugs?:bighug:

@tiffmaxee, she felt she was doing okay. She had gained a couple of ounces. The only concern is her anemia. She looks like she feels a little better - ate a small spoonful of baby food and is laying in a slightly more relaxed position. They alternate her chemo among three different drugs.

Cinco, you are headed the wrong way! Max and China are in the shallow end - you're headed out to sea. Come back!!!!!
 
Hurry up Cinco... Time for you to come on in too....there are a couple of burgers left if you hurry!

I'm going in for a shower and to dry off a little....want to do some grooming so I look extra pretty in NYC tomorrow!!

I hear some of those vendors will give a pretty girl a special deal!...LOL
 
China, wait for me!!! I want a burger. Gotta stretch my tummy so I can eat more hot dogs tomorrow!

Chris, what are you doing up so late? Or did you forget to turn your computer off and China got up there and typed her own message? Go to bed!

I think that was his goal. I just asked on my condo what %carbs youngave been feeding.point taken Cinco. Now up you go.
 
Started with Dave's 95% Turkey & Turkey Liver. Really low carbs - under 2% I think. Switched to 8% at +4.25. Just switched to 16% at +6.25. Guess he really wanted to get rid of that .25 unit. He usually comes up pretty easily with LC.

Well if there was any doubt at all it is gone. Good luck with the reduction. I doubt it will be a problem. Seriously Cinco, could you be any more dramatic?

If Minka has no regenerative anemia and her HCT is under 20%, it might be time to start aranesp. That would explain her poor appy. If the anemia is due to cancer, I don't know what they give but it would be possible for it to reverse. Vines

Sending tons and tons of feel better vines for Minka. I wonder if the iron injection could be bothering her, too. It is SO hard that they can't talk. I hope she's feeling much better today!
