One word: FRIDAY!

Of course, my toughest day at work. But the weekend starts soon so all's well.

All is good in Pollywood, too. Guess the higher, flat blues were just a left-over from the vet experience. Or....I dunno. But she's back to green this morning. Just have to see where this goes.

Greyhound Gathering in town this weekend. Somewhere around 400 of the beautiful creatures come to play and parade. A friend has rescued Greyts so I'll be hanging out watching the activities. Willy will have to put on his big-dog collar and accept that this weekend labs aren't the center of the universe.

Beautiful green for the beautiful Polly, she's such a gorgeous girl. I love greyhounds, they are so sleek and handsome, my doctor has 2 rescues and she says they are extremely gentle. Have fun at the Greyhound Parade.
 
My DH used to have a greyhound, Jiffy, who he found abandoned at the side of the road. Racing days over that's what happens to a lot of them. Very gentle dog, but unfortunately didn't like cats at all, thought they were rabbits which was a bit dangerous. Enjoy your weekend Marily, Polly is looking good.
 
Greyhounds are such beautiful dogs but the racing industry is disgusting. Someone managed to get footage of the live bait training going on here recently - which of course they all swear doesn't happen (including one woman who they interviewed saying how cruel it was and then got undercover footage of her doing that with her dogs :mad:). I tried to watch but couldn't, then I just tried to listen to the story without watching but couldn't do that either. I was bawling my eyes out as the dogs ripped live rabbits, possums and piglets to pieces. They've uncovered a few mass grave sites of the greyhounds recently too, they breed thousands more than they want so that's what happens to most of the under performers. They are such loving gentle dogs, it's so sad :( give them some extra scritches from me.
 
I wonder if the animal behaviorists at Best Friends have dealt with greyhounds? Will, this greyhound thing is just one day, no worries. Looking good, Miss Polly! TGIF!

Perfect timing on Polly's part for a Friday morning. :rolleyes::D Glad to see she was just teasing.
