Another biggish drop from AMPS. Didn't give the 13% like yesterday though, just regular LC since he's roughly 20 points higher at +2 than yesterday. He seems a bit off/maybe uncomfortable since last night. Not sure what's going on. I know it's not constipation and he is eating, so trying not to stress out. Of course the Weruva thing has me on edge. He is not eating BFF but of course it's easy to speculate about another shoe dropping.
I need a mental vacation, AND SOON. I'm not getting any regular sleep, grinding my teeth and dealing with an ulcer. I try to be thankful for all the good things I'm surrounded by, but sometimes I just have an intellectual awareness that doesn't translate to how I am feeling.
I'm probably just sleep deprived, but I don't know what the answer is.
If anyone is reading this, I thank you my friends. I wouldn't have gotten this far along with Uncle without your support :bighug:

I hope Uncle is just having an off day and feels better soon. I hope you can get some rest soon. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Carla, you are always such a reassuring presence for me here. I really appreciate you always checking in on us.
Hope all is well over there with your gang. It will be nice to get the dental over and done with I'm sure!

Uncle dropped below 50 again this morning. He did that 7 cycles ago and I decided to go from .5U back to .5 skU which is precisely in between .25 and .5 (using my calipers) instead of taking a full .25U reduction fearing it wouldn't hold. So the question is, now do I go down to .25U or more? To complicate things a bit, I will be leaving town on Thursday for 3 days and will want to figure out a vacation dose before then.
Sheesh, I really could use some advice! :bighug:

it must still be the weekend..... everyone is doing something else today.....

imho, I think you should give the reduction a chance.... and reduce to 0.25...
try to breathe, his numbers are just where you want them..... He's looking really good.
If the reduction doesn't hold, you just go back. But he's shown twice now that he could use one.

I know appy issues are always disturbing....
it takes so much experimenting with all the foods to find the right ones and then they change their mind .
I had at least 9 varieties in rotation and still do with my new cats just because companies suddenly drop the best one in their line.

No harm in trying the 0.25 for a while. And it'll give you time to decide if it's a good dose for the petsitter while you are gone.

Do you have a mouth guard for your teeth? They help prevent grinding. I know how hard it is to not get good sleep for a long period of time. It wears on you. :bighug:

Oh what a cycle Uncle is having.

Barbara, I feel your pain! The sleep deprivation is horrid. I walked along like a zombie for months and months. t

A mouth guard will help tremendously. The dentist charge a small fortune to have one made either at the lab and they get their markup on it or some DDS, like the one I worked for, makes them in house ( I made them) and still charge a fortune. So, what you can do is go to a sporting good store and buy a mouth guard kit that the football player wear. They are easy to make, you drop them in hot water for a certain amount of time, let it cool for a certain amount of time and them bite in to it making your teeth impression and then let it cool and set up. You will go through it quicker than a lab made one from the DDS but, soooo much cheaper and then get another kit. It will help with the face pain, headaches, neck aches and even shoulder pain that the clenching can cause.

Hang in there! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Bobbie, thank you for the support! I'm hoping this little trip I'm taking will help me press the reset button. Going to see my young adult niece (who is one of my favorite people on the planet) in Grass Valley CA for a day and night, then we're going to drive to Santa Cruz where we will meet up with my brother, sister (her mom) and my mom (84), who will come up from the L.A. area. We will all be there together at an airbnb house for 3 days and 2 nights. My cousin is getting married and the ceremony is at a Quaker retreat in the Redwoods. I'm really looking forward to being with my family. We are very close and I always feel better when we're together. I know I'm lucky in that way. Not everyone has family they can lean on and have fun with.
My dentist also recommended that I get that type of mouth guard instead of trying to sell me something expensive. She has a private practice but is mindful of everyone's financial situations. I bought something from "DenTek" but I don't think I bit down hard enough when it was pliable because it turned out very thick. I think I can try it again per the instructions though. :):bighug:

Thanks Wendy. I went with the .25u tonight and will see what happens in the next couple of days before I leave Uncle on a vacation dose. He has really been working the juice lately.
Yes, I got a DIY mouthgaurd, but I need to do the process all over again to get it right. I'm sure it will help once I get the fit correctly.

Thanks for popping in earlier tonight. I went with the .25u. I think you are right, I should give the reduction a chance. If it's not enough it may be perfect for the vacation dose. As always, we'll just wait and see...

Barbara, the trip you'll be going on sounds just right for much needed rest and restoration.

I went through two nightguards made by my dentist. Nothing wrong with the nightguards: too much of what they're meant to mollify. One cracked under the strain. It's good to know diy ones are available and your tips on using them.

I hope Uncle will be nice and steady this week and during your trip. Wouldn't it be nice not to have worry in the forefront even though we never really stop worrying.
