Yesterday

I tested him when I got up this morning at 6:45 and got a 113. I didn't like that number so I pretended like it didn't happen ;) I'm assuming hubby fed them this morning and I caught the food spike. I put the number at +8 last night but I think it should be +10 from pmbg. Anyway, I fed him after that test and waited 4 hours. I like 51 muuuuuuuuuch better :mrgreen: I'll keep it. This is about the time of day I've been getting his AMBG anyway. I got a couple of early ones but once D suggested waiting 4 hours after food I stopped the early am tests and just started feeding them when I get up and marking the time so I can check in 4 hours, it's been working out perfectly so I have to assume hubby fed first breffis and I fed second breffis when I got up. We'll be needing a better system of notification because I just now fed early elevensies and I know they're gonna want a snack at tea time, then there's still dinner and bedtime. I tried dropping the bedtime snack and Echo would.not.shut.up. ohmygod_smile I'll have to find a daytime snack to drop because I simply can't afford to feed them 6 times a day :lol: They are small meals, granted, but good grief! It's the time consuming part that's getting to me more than financial cost but it's still be great if they'd eat a less expensive food sometimes. Each feeding takes about 15 minutes. That's almost two hours of my day spent feeding cats. I used to be able to read a book in that amount of time.... :YMSIGH:
 
Great ambg today. It is obvious that Tugger is ready for his party. How is the new drooler, Isis doing? Any more slaps from Tugger?
 
I think she has learned The Cats Are Not To Be Messed With. Just a little while ago I fed the droolers breffis. Isis usually eats in hubby's office/mancave but he's at work now so I fed her on the bench in the living room. Bella, our rescue girl who is such a carb addict came racing to the bench when she saw me set Isis' bowl down. Isis had just stuck her nose in and gotten a bite or two before Bella showed up (rather suddenly to someone who is hyperfocused on FOODS!) and shoved her head right in under Isis!

Isis backed right up and looked up at me like "Ummm, lady? Can you please to be getting that cat out of my foods nao?"

*beams*

I am so proud of her! I had a split second of near panic when Bella stuck her pretty little head practically into the mouth of the dog that put a hole in Boomer's very tough hide! She didn't growl or lift her lip or do anything except back up and let me deal with the situation!

I told her "Good Girl" and took her food away from Bella (little piggy was gobbling as fast as she could) and moved it to a chair where Isis happily went back to eating. :mrgreen:

Hi Marvie and Tugger! I will be renting condo's for sure because I can't stay away, I would miss everyone on here too much!!! I haven't decided what Scrabble's last day of chewing will be yet, I have to go to the store today so maybe I will check out the gum aisle, lol! Glad to hear all furbabies are doing well in your home!!! Scrabble still likes his same feeding schedule,he is too spoiled!! I am hoping the auto feeder I bought will help with that.

There's no way we could ever use an auto feeder with this crew. I'd need at least five of them. If we only had one, Tugger would stand guard over it 24/7 and no one else would get to eat, ever. If he did wander away from it one of the other piggies would eat it all up and leave nothing for him. Tux for sure. He's a lazy brat so he'll eat whatever is in the floor dishes first, then when those are empty he'll jump up to the counter bowls. Thank goodness for the petsitter living on the same street. She has a key (we have a keysafe) to get in at any time of the day or night and is only a phone call away if I'm out and stuck in traffic or something. She is awesome.

I'm hoping to eventually wean them down to maybe three meals a day. Some days we get that, some days they act like they've never seen food before and are afraid they never will again. ohmygod_smile I'm about to explain to them that if they want to be having a 24 hour buffet available to them, they're gonna need to broaden their tastes just a bit. A little 9lives or Friskies now and then will NOT HURT THEM.

I'm actually getting to the point where I'm putting out foods they don't like as much on those demanding days. It shuts them up. Either they aren't really hungry at all and just want to eat because they can but since they don't like it they go sleep till the next offering or they really are hungry and will break down and eat at least some of it, either way, it gets it out of the cabinet and makes room for me to stock the stuff they do like.

I would have done the same too.

Max is very excited for the back to back parties and having more of his buddies
joining him at the falls.
 
Hahahahaa I do that too...If I don't like the number, I do another test! You are not alone!!

Hey Tugger, great numbers! I never pulled one that low while on trial, but mamabean also never checked between am and pm numbers. She said she'd just leave me alone and let my ears be. Whatever, she just didn't want to let me show off! :lol: Anyway, tell your mamabean to post a condo for you even if she misses your morning number--my bean misses them. Oh, wait, guess you will be condo-less pretty soon too! :lol: Nevermind! Hey, maybe you, Scrabble, me and the "other" Max (or is it Max 1 now?) can put our money in and rent a condo here once in a while so we can still say hi to everyone. My mamabean says she misses talking to the other mamabeans these days!

Hey Tugger, When my beans go out I save my food, because I don't know when they'll be back. As soon as they get back, I glom it down! I guess you can't do that, because all those other cats and the 2 droolers would get your food and you wouldn't! Happy Day 11, pal. Do you have a favorite food you would like me to bring to your party?? (anti jinx)

Happy Day 11!!!

Boy, I wish you hadn't calculated how much time you spend feeding critters. That's something I would rather not think about.
