I feel bad, I didn't realize it was so long since I posted an update:

I have insomnia and I'm awake and asleep at weird/random times. Snickers doesn't always want to eat, so his injection time drifts. Right now we're doing 1am and 1pm. Everyone else is asleep at 1am so I'm on my own doing glucose tests.
He's a very low key cat, and I don't think he's trying to "fight" me. It's as if he's cringing, because he dreads the stick. He rolls over sideways and turns his head. Once it's over he's fine, he stretches out on the towel and watches me make my notes.
For some reason he ate less today. Maybe because I gave him 2/3 of a Sheba before I went to sleep at 6am, and he ate it all! Sometimes he doesn't even touch the "bedtime" portion, and the young cat creeps in and eats it while we're sleeping.
