Any chance you can get a curve run on him sometime in the near future? While he is been getting some pretty preshot numbers I have to wonder if that 1u is taking him too low near his nadir and that is causing so 300s, plus making him grouchy because he is associating the shots with making him feel bad instead of good.

Mmmmm.....could be. He's been so touchy about his ears lately I hate to even stick him for pre-shots.

I just have to wonder if he needs the dose adjusted but without knowing how low he is going it is impossible to know what direction to go with that adjustment.

If you cant do a curve at home, you could always take him to the vet and have them do it.
Not the ideal situation, since you have the resources to do it at home.
