5/7 Nao AMPS 168, +1 165, +2 140, +4 135, +6 173 PMPS 363, +3 225

It's good you shot without stalling. Stalling without food can sometimes cause numbers to drop further making the shooting decision even more difficult! Also, some cats tend to nadir at the end of the cycle and then head up. Nao could be one of them. So shooting lower numbers is something you will get used to and can safely do if you can monitor him.

Does he get food after you go to bed? No food might be one of the reasons he keeps dropping till the end of the cycle.

Yes! He gets his second snack at +6.5, it helps him wait until breakfast, lol

He usually gets his first snack at +3. I could give it to him at that time and then get a +4. Would that be alright?
Sorry. Just saw this. Do he gets a snack at PS and then at +3? As he starts seeing better numbers it would be a good idea to start "feeding the curve" - this is basically using food to manipulate the curve. In active cycles like the one you are seeing this morning, a little food after every test will prevent sharp drops and help them surf good numbers. It can be just a tsp of food after each test. You could feed a little less with the shot so that he is hungry and willing to eat every hour or two, if needed.

I'm not sure I understand very well what you mean by a snack at PS. What I usually do is test him, feed him, and then I give him his shot. He then gets a snack at +3, two teaspoons full, and then another at +6.5, another two teaspoons.
But yeah, I could give him more snacks, he will love that xD.

He ate his snack at +3 and I'm waiting to get a +4. Do I give him a little food after the test?

Yes, a +5 is fine. It might also be okay to call it a night. You might see a cycle similar to the AM cycle of 5/5. I guess he will get a snack at +6.5?
