Sienne is right Carolyn....we wish you the moon and the stars and the warmth of the sun....all our best wishes for you both....sending a million prayers and a blizzard of snowflakes and healing vines....I am so glad Latte is home with you. And it was so GREAT of Amy to help you out. Glad you don't have to go anywhere now....you must be exhausted tonight...
Latte must be happy to be home and after she gets comfortable, I pray that you will both sleep comfortably ~

I'm sorry to read that Latte is having trouble and that you're so scared. I wish there was something I could do to help. I'm glad you can be home with her this weekend.

Re: 5/7 Latte AMPS-367 Update from HOME

Carolyn - I am so sorry to read this, I just don't know what to say. My heart aches for you, and for Latte. It just all rings so close to home, and a situation for me from several years ago. We are all here for you, offer whatever support we can. The two of you will make the right decision, she will let you know. I hope and pray that things improve for her. You are the best mama bean ever.

Re: 5/7 Latte AMPS-367 Update from HOME

I am fighting back my tears from reading your update. You are such a good mum to Latte and you are doing everything possible to help her. I'm glad that Amy was there to help you out and give you personal moral support. The only thing you need to do now is spend time with Latte and give her extra special everything and enjoy each day as it comes. I am sending so many vines your way. Blankets of snowflakes are comeing too.
Will be thinking of you and Latte and praying for you both.

Latte is on her 2nd round of bupe. I added .01ml more to see if we can get longer duration w/o terrible side effects. will continue to increase if need be. I think the first round helped. She slept for a good 3hrs. After her shot she got up and walked a bit. Amy was here and I was outside, so missed it. I did see a little bit soon after. Then she reverted back to the sideways walking and falling. She just lays down for a while wherever she falls.

She is trying to drink out of her water bowl at times, but cant sit all the way down and falls or leans too far to be able to drink. Its frustrating her. She is accepting water from a neat little cup amy got, if I hold it to her. I had to put a cap of milk in the first time to get her to drink.

She likes her new pad under the piano. I will try to post a photo tomorrow. She got in her new LB under the piano twice [o check it out. Apparently Latte made it in/out of her regular box when I stepped out. She tried to get on my now 'bed on the floor'. She got everything but 1/2 her back legs up. The legs just hung. We under cover snuggled for a few minutes. She also played with a cat nip toy Amy bought. Again, will try to post video tomorrow. So there are some big positives. Her attitude is amazing.

I am having a problem getting her a/b in tonight because of the position she keeps falling in. I really am scared to pick her up and change it.

I hope to take an hr or 2 nap soon.

Your words of encouragement mean so much to me. I keep crying when I read them. They make me feel a lot less alone as I sit here by myself with Latte, pretty wicked scared.

((((Carolyn)))) I am so sorry you are going through this. Sounds like the bupe is helping, though. I hope you continue to get some positive signs from Latte. From my own experience with a ruptured disk, it may take a little while for the pain to get better and the muscles to relax. I'm sending prayers and healing energies.

Oh Carolyn I am so sorry that you and Latte are having to go through this. I wish I could be there to give you a big hug and kiss your baby's beautiful little head. Remember you are not alone right now. We are all with you and sending many prayers and healing thoughts your way.

Carolyn,

I'm glad to hear Latte has such spirit. The fact that she's trying to do her normal stuff hopefully means she's not in any pain. Part of her balance problem now could be the buprenorphine too so once she gets used to it she may be more stable.

Try to get some rest,

Jason

Oh Carolyn,
you are such a great mommy and I can feel in my heart what you are going through. It is agony. Miracles do happen though, so try to stay positive and strong. You and Latte are in my prayers and thoughts and sending out a special request super healing vine for Latte tonight.
Love & hugs,
Caryl

they can't inject anything in there to open the space up? i get periodic injections in my neck for bone growth from an accident that has narrowed the area around my spinal cord. before that they used to inject lidocaine there. wondering whether something like that (epidural) or steroid could give some relief. guessing maybe the "caine" meds could harm kidneys but not sure. i've gotten pain patches in that area but i don't think they penetrate more than the first few layers of skin but the injections are such a relief. or acupuncture? adequan injections sound like a possibility too.

don't want to frustrate you more -- just trying to help despite my limited knowledge.
wish we could all be there with you too, to support you during this scary time. (((CAROLYN)))

Many positive thoughts, snowflakes, healing vines for your girl. I hope the best for you, and for Latte. Cats are so resilient, strong. I pray that latte will recover. We are all here to support you, and Latte.

Carolyn - sending you more words of encouragement. You are a special Mom & somehow our kitties know how much we love & care for them. They love us back too.

Lots of love & hugs,
Susan & Lanky
