I understand. These 5:30 am mornings giving Haley her snack and sometimes testing her is exhausting me. I'm not worth much during the day. I'm a night owl so I get more done then. I'm glad your life is coming back together. Feels good, huh? I hope he does stay of insulin. For his sake and for yours! Believe me, I do rest.
I do have to do the early morning and latter evenings but as long as Mouzer can stay off of insulin, the time can go to where it should be going, as it was before Mouzer came out of remission. This way, no animal is being neglected in any way, be it clean up work or their time that I get to pet and love on them and just visit.
I get up at 4am and start my ritual here at my house with the animals feeding, medications, supplements and cleaning and such. I keep all animals that are on medication and supplements at my house, so I can tend to what they need, as they need it.
In the afternoon, I go to the other kitties and get them taken care of with feeding and clean their housing and surroundings and such and bring home anything that needs to be washed.
Then back to my house to tend to those animals and do all that goes with the general upkeep of it and give them their lovin time, then again, in the evening, go back to the other kitties to tend to their evening meal and cleaning up and I try to have time then to be the loving mom who has time to love on all of them. Usually, I am in bed between 10pm and 11pm.
Last night, I got back to my house from tending to the other kitties right at 10pm and did a random check on Mouzer's bg, which was his pmbg +5, and he had 45! In 2017, it was on past the 14 day trial and some on into the weekly testing that he got a 46, so I was a bit surprised to see a 45 already. I told him that was my Mother's Day Present from him and what a nice surprise ahahaaha A 45 that I do not have to fear because it was Mouzer's natural 45 and not insulin induced. This morning is Mouzer's 13th day on otj trial and he gave me a 67.
So, I think it is safe to say, at this point, Mouzer is in remission. OTJ Trial ends tomorrow. I mean, he would have to do some insane bg rising to mess it up at this point ... and I better hush, lest he do that ahahaahaa And then we will go on into the future, in hopes that Mouzer can live out the rest of his life being in remission.
Life with animals is a very tiring work but it is so worth it to see them all be so happy. I love them all so much!
