Hes 226 this morning, which im assuming is him bouncing from the lower numbers yesterday. Based off his spreadsheet, does anyone think he is prone to bouncing?

Also, based off his spreadsheet, would you consider his nadir to be around +2 or +4? I am struggling to figure it out

Nadirs can move around and not be the exact time each day.

Urine ketone strips say negative (I caught him peeing and got some on a spoon) but im still going to test him via his blood when his meter arrives today

Also, LC snsck given at +2 because he had a significant drop

Good catch on the pee and the +2. Based on his trends, I was just going to tell you I wouldn’t be surprised if he dropped today. But he got serious.

I would retest 30 mins after he’s done eating.

I wouldn’t yet say he’s “prone” to bouncing. All cats bounce until they don’t. It’s a normal reaction so don’t worry. But, it could also be he just lost duration from his PM shot. That happens sometimes and is more what I think is going on.

And Staci is correct that nadirs can move especially if we overdo the carbs for dropping numbers which I have done myself on more than on occasion.

Oh you are so good at this! He responds so well to LC. You can let him go an hour. Try not to feed if he is not hungry and let’s see if he can stretch the greens a little more.

One other thing….when you do get a big change like that, it’s best to retest right away just to be sure.

Im going to try the libre again once it arrives, since I had to get a replacement due to his libre shutting down on its own. Its mostly a trial run because im not sure when I return to work yet and if I do I wont be able to reliably test him any more due to working full time

Update: its saying 0 ketones in the blood test which is fantastic!!! should I keep the ketone tester or return it due to not needing it if hes testing 0 ketones on both blood and urine for the time being?

That’s up to you. I never used one but would have ordered one if Gracie ever had shown ketones on a strip.
