Whew! Looks like Cobb finally found the slide. Back in yellow this morning. He was really hungry last night, but again he slept through most of the day. I'm going to try to get our times feeder working again tonight.

Not much else to report this morning on the Cobb front. This week has been a interesting introduction into being the mom of a boy. So far, we've drawn blood twice: once when Matty fell into the stairs (a gate is in place now, much to Cobb's chagrin, and once yesterday when Matty slammed his hand in a kitchen drawer (child proofing to come today). I know more injuries are on the way. My mother-in-law says Matt had 5 sets of stitches before he was 5. How am I going to survive??

Have a great Wednesday all!!

Yay for a better start to the day! Cobb, these colors are much prettier on you.

Sending anti-stress vines to you, Suzanne. How old is Matty now?

Hey Shelly! I just took a nice nap, so I'm a little less stressed, although I did not want to wake up!

Matty is 10.5 months now. He'll be 11 months on the 18th. It is crazy that he is almost a year old! He started walking around 8.5 months, and crawling back before Christmas, so we had our living room blocked off so that was all he had access to. But then he learned to climb, and the chairs we had as gates were no longer effective since he could climb over them. We opened the kitchen to him last weekend and he seems to think that is the perfect play spot. It had hardwood floors so the toys are much louder (translation: more fun ).

Re: 5/7 Cobb AMPS 289(2uR)

I thought he was close to a year old now. Oh, the climbing. My nephew once climbed halfway up a bookcase when he was about 18 months old. My sister had never seen him climb until that day. I can only imagine her surprise when she found him hanging off the bookcase. Perhaps children plot their parents' demise just like Jersey plots mine?

I don't blame Matty for preferring the kitchen. Not only does everything sound louder, there are more dangerous objects in the kitchen to worry the bean. See - plotting! ;-)

Glad you've de-stressed a little! I'm still going to keep sending the anti-stress vines your way, though. More can't hurt, right?

Have a great day, Suzanne!

Oh. I fully believe that Matty and Cobb are in cahoots. Matty watched him closely and learned how to climb through chairs and other tight spots, like behind the sofa. He hasn't climbed the bookcase yet, but I kept telling Matt that we have to anchor it to the wall because I know it's going to happen!

I see I got caught up in the day and did not update my subject line as usual.

Cobb has surfed the yellows pretty much all day. Hey, better than those pinks, right?! I gave him a bit of R tonight...see if we can't push him back down into the blue and start working this juice a bit better. I hope we have finally put that yucky fur shot in the rearview. Sad it happened right after our reduction because I feel like it was a step forward and then two steps back. grr_red But it happens. Oh well...

It was a gorgeous day today! Upper-80s. Matt got this plastic thingy (technical term guys) that you put on the pool water that is supposed to heat it up by at least 15 degrees. I was skeptical, but it works! The water was 84. Temp outside was 89. It was so nice. Last year it was rainy and cool in May (nice for the pregnant girl, but not for the pool ). Matty wasn't too impressed until Matt started swimming under water and popping up in front of him.

Anyway, have a great night! Fingers crossed for some blue numbers here soon!!

fingers crossed that cobb's going to have a blue evening! Today looks promising!

my son didn't walk til he was 17 months old - he was a skinny baby. His older sister would bring him everything he wanted and treat him like a doll, so he didn't have any need to get up and walk. Then cuz he sat around, he turned into Jabba the Hut! i'm not kidding, he was a moose - a little dumpling! i was happy to have him sitting because it made my life easier. now he's 6' tall and weighs around 130! talk about a skinny guy.

they just don't have much sense at a year old - hopefully he'll start figuring out not to do things that hurt. that pool thingy sounds cool.

Michelle's first grandson, Nicholas, was born while Mannie was diabetic and they became good friends. She posted a lot of pics of them together eating off the high chair tray, Nicholas feeding mannie his food . . . i bet Cobb and Matty are going to be quite the buddies.
