Yesterday's Condo

Had the date wrong yesterday. Today, is 5/6!

No AM urination... I hope he's not going to relapse with that UTI!!!! nailbite_smile

I still have a good bit of the Orbax, but hope it does not come to that!!!!

Still no urination by 5:00pm... He looked like he was trying to tell me something, like last time, I put him in the litter box and pet him and he went. He was straining quite a bit. So I started him back on Orbax.
 
Sorry to heat that the UTI is probably back. Do you have a black light? A black light will make urine glow, so you can check for new pee marks w/ that. Just cleaning may not get rid of the smell, you need an enzyme based cleaner. There is one called Petastic which is the original formula for Nature's Miracle. It works even better than NM.

BTW, I missed yesterday, so congratulations on the A in Algebra. Paws crossed for the Psych final too.

I can't remember if your vet got a sterile urine sample (cystocentesis) the last time. If he didn't, it's possible that the Orbax isn't knocking out the infection. It may be bet to get Tyler in to the vet for a cystocentesis so he can culture the urine to determine what the bacteria is and what antibiotic will address the infection. If you're going to do this, you've got to stop the Orbax or you'll get false negative results.
 
was he straining before with the last UTI? punkin had probably 8 bladder infection and i never saw straining. your comment on that makes me wonder about crystals or stones in his urine that could be blocking the urine from being able to exit. i don't know anything about either or those, except that they can be a crisis. if the straining is new, i'd call the vet and report it.

You got an A in Algebra? You who hates math? WOOT! congratulations! i'm so glad for you!
 
So sorry to hear Tyler's pee troubles are back. I hope you can get a better handle on it this time and knock it out completely.

Congrats on the A in Algebra, and on being done with the semester. There is something to be said for getting paid for your time, for sure - especially with vet bills! ;-)

Sending healing vines for Tyler. At least his numbers are looking good!
