She wasn't any better this morning . She wouldn't eat at all. I even tried tempting her with Bonito flakes. She licked them once and that was it. My girl would kill for Bonito flakes. Her BG was 257 which isn't bad but then she did have squids at 230 this morning so at least they helped a bit.
Right after I got back from taking my granddaughter to Day Care I called to see if bring her in. God bless my vet he always will see Tori right away. Within a 1/2 hour we were at the office. He agrees that she is having an acute pancreatic flare. The plan is to do a blood panel, Urine for R+M and C+S and start an IV and try and get her to eat. Depending on the results of the labs he may or may not start antibiotics. He felt that doing our at home regime has saved her from getting critically ill like she has in the past. Hopefully this will be a short admission and she will be back to normal very soon. I feel better knowing that she is where she needs to be and that Doug will be caring for her. I left a supply of the Buprenex for them. That stuff is so hard to come by here in Canada. They will be keeping her comfortable.
I will be going to see her this afternoon before I go to pick up Ayanna. By that time they should have some news for me.
If you have a minute please say a prayer for my little girl. The prayers of this Board have saved her life before and I'm sure they will make the difference again.
I'll keep you posted.
