Hello all! I have been on the board a lot, but haven't been posting daily for ages (so no link to last condo) because Papaya tends to hit all colours of the rainbow and it was hard to patiently wait that out while getting daily conflicting advice - raise! lower! raise! lower! While her spreadsheet does tend to be more colourful than some, she is at least not reacting to every sniff of green or blue with an off-the-meter high.

She's been on insulin for just over six months now! I'm seeing lots of green nadirs these days, and some good preshots as well although there is room for improvement. I think it really is just a matter of letting her body (and Mr. Ninja Liver) get used to normal numbers and stop overreacting, which seems to be slowly working. Since I am seeing some progress I figured I would start posting again, if only to share the celebration of the nice greens!

Hi Amy! I just love the name Papaya--how'd you come up with that?

Good luck with the decrease-- I see it already netted a lovely green today

Gobbles' SS is colorful as well, and recently has got a bit better.

Have a great rest of the week!

I see Gobbles (also an awesome name!!) and Papaya were diagnosed about a month apart! Maybe they are both starting to settle into better numbers - here's hoping.

The name Papaya is partly because I got her when I was living in Taiwan, and I wanted something that was easy to translate so my Chinese friends would know what her name was. It sounds like "moo-gwah" in Mandarin. Plus . . . she's finally getting to a better weight, but she was very overweight when I got her, so she kind of had the shape of a papaya ;-)

I see on your spreadsheet you said "exercising one week". How do you exercise a cat?
