Morning I didn't get too many pokes yesterday, as I was under the weather, and Mags was running high anyway. I kind of had a draw dropping episode this morning. I tested Mags and guess I had too large a drop, as my Relion Confirm meter read 33! I thought no way, as I feel I have Mags under dosed, but have been sitting on this dose as she did have some low greens on this dose. I did a second reading and the RC read 207, whew!! I checked it against my back-up Arkay Vital and had a reading of 241, so I took the reading of my prime meter. I'm not always sure I'm getting the right drops count. A dear Bean friend donated her calipers to Mags, but I need to sit down and get the dose right with the calipers.

All is well with Mags with five "P's," one of them being prezzies, yay Detective Poo. :-D It wasn't much though, so hopefully she'll complete more of that last P today. I just watched as Mags had an out of the box pee. It was the four legs in and bum out with pee landing on the plastic. Then sweet Mags, realizing what happened, gets out of the box and waves with her paw trying to cover the pee up on the plastic. I think it happens when she gets up from a nap, and perhaps she's a little stiff with her arthritis. Does that make sense?

I need to move my car before 7 am this morning. It's raining, so I'm almost sure the parking lot work will be canceled. I saw yesterday so many neighbors had already moved their car onto the street, and the side streets are packed. Our poor home owner neighbors must be wondering what's going on. Their visitors will have nowhere to park.

Have a great Monday. Healing vines to kitties and beans needing them.

Morning Ann
And what a morning you've had already!! Sorry about that 4 legs in, bum out lb action. But isn't she sweet to try and cover it anyway cat_pet_icon I hope she finishes her prezzie for you today. It's such a bummer you have to move your car even tho it's raining. I'm sure you're right, they'll cancel work on your parking lot.
Slide down nicely today Maggie, ok? I hope you're feeling better today.
many hugs and scritches from us to you

Re: 5/6 Maggie AMPS 207

Looks like we all are having high readings this morning! I didn't re-check Rusty. I just trust that the meter is OK!

Good luck with the calipers. They are really easy to use once you get them set up. If you need help, check out Marje's condo where she gives instructions (don't have time to look it up now, but will send you the URL later this afternoon).

 on the parking and moving the car! In NYC people do this every day for several hours because of "alternate-side parking" so that the sanitation dept. can clean the streets. You have to double park and move back at the exact time posted or else you will get a ticket.

Have a good day, Ann. I hope you're feeling better.

Hugs and scritches, and a big thanks for visiting us while we were in NYC.

Ella & Rusty

Come on down Mags. Good thing you rechecked with another meter when you saw that 33. I hate it when that happens, but it sure gets your blood pumping. Hope you are feeling better today. Good luck with the parking. That would be a royal pain. Have a great day Ann!!

Re: 5/6 Maggie AMPS 207

Hi, Ann, whoa in the 33 reading. Must've raised your heart rate a little!
I hope you're feeling better today.
Good luck with the parking situation this week.
We're supposed to have rain, too, (and thunder!) up here today. Guess I should start planning some inside activities for my kiddos.
I wonder if Mags is a little groggy when she 'goes' out of the LB...?
Give her scritches from me (and headbutts from Ripley).

I hope you guys have a good day today!

Re: 5/6 Maggie AMPS 207

Yay for prezzies...here's hoping for "completion" today! Aw, how sweet of Mags to "cover" up when her bum hangs outside the box. You could be right about the stiffness, or as someone else said, maybe she's groggy. Have you tried a low-entry box?

I hope the parking lot repairs go quickly. Have a great day, Ann!

Nice drop to blue for Mags. Thanks for all the visits. I just had an early walk. I found parking about four blocks away on a side street at the very end of the block, near a house, but not like I was taking up their spot in case of visitors.

Hi Ella, oh my on the NY parking  makes our parking look easy. Thanks on the calipers. I think I have Marje's link filed somewhere in my Favs.

Hi Melissa, yeah that 33 sure did get my heart a racing, as Mags rarely gets even a 40. She's comfy when she's in the 90's or higher. Good thing I did check it. Otherwise she would have gotten FF Turkey & Giblets. Instead she got Cowbpy Cookout!

Hi Josie, it's a nice light rain today. Thanks on the feel better vines and scritches for Mags. It very well could be Mags is groggy with the LB thing, makes sense, as we know how er feel when we get up until that first cup of coffee.

Hi Mary, it was so cute seeing Mags trying to cover it when she pee'd on the plastic. I do think she was groggy and needed her coffee.

Hi Amy, thanks on the Mags's prezzies and hope for completion. :-D Yes, this is a nice low entry box. I'm wondering if she needs a second one, although my place is so small.

Re: 5/6 Maggie AMPS 207; +3 138

Those are the numbers we like to see. It certainly has been a pokie break day in LL so far. You are winning the race to the Lagoon, Maggie!

It rained here overnight, we got a whole 1/8", but anything is welcome. I'm sure it helped w/ the fire in Ventura.

Re: 5/6 Maggie AMPS 207; +3 138

Nice +3 Miss Maggie! Boy, sounds like parking space is going to be a little jammed up--maybe get a few of those orange construction cones and put them in one of the good parking spaces

Re: 5/6 Maggie AMPS 207; +3 138

Detective Poo here, checking on the Mags. Good job on the prezzies! Whoa on that 33! Good luck with the parking, kind of a pain. And send a little rain to us. :-D

+10 155

I hope Mags stays away from the yellow for her PMPS, so far so good. She always has better numbers after prezzies.

Hi Ann, I guess Mags just lost the race to the Green Lagoon.

Hi Kat, well after everyone moved their cars and crowded the streets, including me, the Manager calls and says it's all cancelled until Wednesday. So I have primo parking right now in our parking lot. Good idea on the orange cones for this Wedesday.

Mags thanks you Detective Poo for the check. I do need to give her a bath. She just hates the wipes and takes a good swipe at me any time I try and use them on her. You should be getting some nice rain showers later. Rain is to continue tomorrow, too.

Re: 5/6 Maggie AMPS 207; +3 138; +10 155

Hooray for the primo parking spot :-D those are some nice blues for Maggie today, hope it continues tonight. Have a good evening,
Kathie

Awww, sweet Miss Mags swipes at her mamabean? I don't believe it!
She musta felt good today in the pretty blue numbers. :-D

Ann, this is a repeat from Checkers' condo.
Checks got wise to the pill pocket, and ate the pocket and spit out the pill. Then he refused it at all. The tapazole is bitter.

At first, I squirted the liquid clindamycin on a few kibbles, and he ate them. Then he got wise
Now I hold him against me, with the dish of kibble about 6, in front of him. I squirt it in his mouth, and immediately, shove the dish under his nose...He is so happy to have kibble, he forgets he got med.

ETA: I forgot to mention HOW I give the pill.
I put a bit of butter, or smushed tuna on the pill, then stick it in his throat, THEN give a little tuna juice, before the kibble.....no dry pilling!!!

I know it sounds complicated, but it takes only moments, once I got the system down.

Thanks Kathie for your visit. Looks like Mags kept her blue surf. :-D

Pretty nifty Barb. Thanks and I'll have to give it a try with Mags.

Hi Ann. Not a bad start to the PM cycle for Maggie tonight. Glad you rechecked her when you got that 33. Poor Maggie; I'm sure she feels bad and/or embarrassed when she has the LB mishaps. I hope she improves.

Have a great evening Ann.
