Good Morning LL!!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) , and happy Monday!
Good news!! Elsa found the 10 hour energy formula, and we are good to go! I thinks she put a little too much zinggggggggggggggg in it, but not bad.... I can't seem to get that ringing out of my ears though... Perhaps after a few more trial runs she will have it down. I think she must have had too many samples during the night. She was up all night trying mochas. She did say that she still prefers them with her fav food: a dollop of ice cream. We shall see what comes off of the espresso machine today. There is a strong scent of apple.... and all my dutch apple ice cream is missing..... ;-)

I was thinking about the Board and all we do here alot yesterday, and the KTSS came to mind. I so love the KTSS, but I wonder how many really remember what it is, what it does, and even more so how it started. I always thought that it was a thing of such happiness: kitties helping kitties feel better. Back when it started Mannie and Stu manned the soup pots, Tess ran the spa line, and Tobey was the champion Masseuse, Gracie was our cheerleader, organizer, and made sure we all new who needed the KTSS. I thought today that I'd just recount the origins...
KTSS: Kittenhood of Traveling Soup and Spa... meet the creator (me), along wit Ella, Ann (of Ann and Tess), and Marje ... It's been a few years since KTSS was born - back in 2010. Stu, of Ella and Rusty, before Rusty, was sick one day - so Mannie, being a rookie chef at the time, decided that the best remedy would be chicken soup. So he made a batch and carried it, without spilling a drop, to NY to help Stu feel better... So of course as all things work in LL, Stu was all better. A few days Later Muffin wasn't feeling well, so Stu and Mannie decided that Muffin could use some of this miracle soup, so they made a batch and off to Muffins they went. About this time Tess joined. It was Ann that named the group: KTS - before the Spa was added. Tess decided, being the girl that she is, that a spa treatment would be very beneficial to the groups work, so she added a spa line. By this time Gracie was part of the group, along with Tobey, the head masseuse. It was Marje that added Spa to the Name. So - KTSS was born - back in 2010, and has been serving LL kitties ever since: when they are sick, when they cross to the bridge, when they have been to the vetty, when they just need LL love. So.. in a nutshell that is KTSS.
Kinds nice, isn't it? I so hope that the tradition will continue.

Have a great day everyone. I will be off in a few to travel to Eastern Washington to do a canyon hike over by Yakima: Black Canyon. I enjoy this hike, the canyon is wonderful, and takes one up to Umtanum Ridge where there is a 360 view as far as the eye can see: all the mountain ranges, valleys, just about everything. It is really very nice. We should have 85 degree weather, with what I hope will be a nice breeze. The winds up on top of that ridge, if they are blowing, can be rather forceful, so I will hope for breezes... ;-) It is going to be a great day!

And kitties? : think blue, think green!

Good morning Michelle!!
Ella, my dear- that ice cream in the mocha is meeting with roaring approval. Dutch apple sounds pretty wonderful. dancing_cat

Wow Elsa! You are doing a great job!

I always love that story of the KTSS. The kitties all do such a good job with it. I hope it continues as well.

Have a wonderful day Michelle!

Hi, Michelle, thanks for posting the origins of the KTSS ~ the special krewe helped out Ripley after her last vetty appt. :-D

Wishing you a day filled with beautiful views and gentle breezes (and sunbeams, of course :-D ).

Even I didn't know the origins of KTSS. But figured it had to do with kittehs helping each other and leave it to Mannie and Stu to get it started. :-D

Ella if you want to start a new ice cream energy business, please include me on your route. I will happily become one of your first customers! And if you need help with your deliveries, I am sure Maui will be happy to help and let you use her special wagon! It can hold and carry anything. Of course Maui will want to drive, so you will need to get used to that and she likes to go super fast, so be sure to buckle up!

Hi Michelle, great on Elsa finding the Mannie 10 hour energy coffee drink. I knew she would not give up until found. Too funy on the dutch apple ice cream. Tell Elsa i would love a cup today. The kitties may all need to make a trip to visit Elsa in her kitchen.

Thanks for telling the start of the KTSS and how it all evolved. I didn't remember it exactly how it all started but knew the true meaning of it and how it helped so many that needed it and also fun times. I know Mags loved the spa treatments after Vety visit. Very sentimental thinking of it and Mannie and Stu.

Have a wonderful hike today Scritches and hugs to Elsa and you.

Love this story. The first I heard of the KTSS was when Trix had her dental, shortly after diagnosis. The KTSS sure made her feel better :-D !

YAY Elsa!!! I sure need that 10 hour energy lately, since Frankie is keeping us beans up at all hours!!

Hi Michelle,
I hope that you had a wonderful hike today in Eastern Washington and that you had as much fun as we did on our paddle.

Good job, Elsa, figuring out the 10-hour energy drink. Don't let it go to your sweet head!

Thanks for recounting the origins of the KTSS, Michelle. That chicken soup sure is good and has helped many a LL kitty recover. And OH on the spa treatments!

Enjoy the evening. Thinking of you,

Ella & Rusty
