Pretty sure it was accidental .5 dose last night accidentally causing high 300's pre am shot. Gave full one unit this morning.

Seems to be eating well. Knock wood!

Great to hear Eegie is eating better!!

Sounds like something is helping...whether it's the Cerenia or the Depo we won't know, but nice that he's eating better! I know that has to be a weight off your shoulders

THANK YOU!!! I always hate doing more than one treatment at the same time as another, 'cause it's impossible to tell what's doing what - but the idea is to get him to not need these meds for a bit again. If it works, then his regular meds have a better chance of kicking in, so we can avoid the shots for a while. I call it "pushing him halfway up the hill, so he can get to the top more easily".

I'm just so grateful when I don't have to spend hours trying to get him to eat something! That's kind of a day killer (and I can FEEL my own cortisol levels going up!)

Wow +4 is a giant drop from one unit of insulin. Working hard to keep him eating! I think I'll test at +6 also today

Good idea on the +6 test. He's getting over the fur shot quickly. It's fantastic to hear that he's eating better today.

Thanks @Wendy&Neko ! I didn't expect such a dramatic drop after yesterday's corticosteroids, though, so I'm going to watch like crazy! Much to his chagrin, I think (he had a few days where he really hated the ear stabs - not at first, weirdly, but a few days in, but he's calmer about it now).

He IS eating better. Of course, I still have to cat-sit him to do it. He eats very slowly and loses attention at any little thing (which, even having other drooling critters even outside the closed door is an issue). I have to move the plate around, spin it hold it... I'm up and down from the floor more often than the lady in the "I've fallen and I can't get up" commercial!

But... with the quick drop - ANY eating is good eating! Wish it could stay that way ALL the time!!!

Damned traffic! I was an hour late on the idea of getting a +6, but +7's quite an upswing in 3 hours... Guess there's going to be some stabilizing and watching needed. Perhaps it's 'cause he ate the turkey earlier... Trying it again...

So, the Zobaline came today. I've been giving the 1000mcg 3x/day, but of course this stuff is 300mg. I'm thinking cutting it in 3rd's would be a PITA. Their website says 1x/day, but I'm thinking 1/2 of it 2x/day would be more evened out.

Are you guys giving Zobaline 2x/day 150mg ea, or the full 300mg 1x/day?

Wow! I expected a bigger jump, post-steroid. I'm pleased. Only had to do .75 tonight. He's eating, too.

I don't think it really matters on the Zobaline....it can be crushed and put into one feeding a day or crushed and split up into several meals

I'd thought I'd read about people who'd gotten capsules of it and were splitting them... but then I saw that on their website, they say 1 pill, 1x/day - so wasn't sure if people were going "off book". Your answer helps me @Chris & China , thank you.

I'm glad it probably doesn't matter how I give it.

I think I've also heard of people who crush the Zobaline, mix with a little water and squirt it down.

@Wendy&Neko thank you! I do that with some of his meds, but he actually seems to prefer pilling. I just didn't know if people were doing it all at once, or 1/2 given 2x/day. I just had thought I'd read that...

My boy gets lots of meds... think I'm going to try 1x/day as they say on the website - that's one less pill the 2nd time!
