Yesterday on Ruby and the Giant Peach.

It's a rainy day here with snoring kitties. Forgot to set my alarm to get up last night to feed Ruby her snack and we got a blue this morning. She's been going so low for the past few days that there's no room for an increase, so we'll stay parked here at .1 units.

Healing thoughts for all of the sick kitties and hugs to you beans. Happy Cinco de Mayo.

Thanks for helping me look on the bright side of things, jw. I have one of those Petmate feeders where the doors flip open at a set time that I'd love to use for the 4 AM snack, but I have absolutely no idea who would be eating it since both cats are crazy for raw food now. So I have to get up and watch them both eat it before I go back to bed.

YES! There is a definite gap in the market for a combo auto with cat-sensor feeder. I have no idea who eats the night-time food (though I do know that NOBODY eats snack #3 whatever time I set)

OMG! I bought two of those pricey microchip feeders when Ruby got sick to separate her food from her sister's. Even though they eat the same thing now I still have no regrets about having them as Ruby can't bully her sister away from her food anymore (that's how she wound up chubby and diabetic ). The big problem with those feeders is they don't have timers! So I have this other feeder that has a timer but opens to everybody. So I'd have to get yet another gadget, a motion detecting camera, to know who ate! Gah!

I suppose there is a lower tech option....a door. Keep them in separate rooms. Though I know that wouldn't work for me, there would be an endless night of door scratching. They might not want to be together but they sure wouldn't want me to separate them!!

That would definitely not fly around here for the same reasons. Door scratching and heartbreaking yowling.
