Yesterday was another couple of cycles in what has become an altogether too familiar a pattern. Start blue, bounce to pink, ease down to PMPS, then race down to green for the night shift. I got almost 4 hours sleep last night. @-)

Last night I shaved her dose to see if I could flatten Neko out a bit. Not working yet. And a bouncing we will go. :roll: It doesn't seem to make much difference in Neko's numbers if I give her HC or not. Last night she got some HC twice, the previous night's surf did not.

It's another lovely sunny day here. Kitties headed for the solarium first thing after breffs were hoovered, but Neko has just come in because it's a bit too hot for her there. She is now lying in the kitchen with her belly to the slight breeze that comes from under the fridge. It's tough being a long haired cat in this weather. I should try to get at some combing today.

OT: I heard from a friend of mine who is taking care of a 21 year old barn cat. He has been drinking more water so I gave him a BG test last week, a perfect 66. She got blood work back and he has the best kidney numbers the vet has seen in an older cat (but is hyperT). He's a testament to 21 years of eating mice as the perfect food.

I hope you can get Neko to flatten out soon. That's great the 21 year old cat is doing so well.

Neko, flat pink was not what I meant when I send flatten out. :lol: We hit 27 C/80F today. Kitties are back in the solarium which is now in shade.

@Carla - Still keeping on my patience pants on for the experiment, might take a couple of cycles to drain the old dose. The funny thing about the 21 year old cat is that my friend brought him home to her basement as they thought he was about done. Now he's looking great, coat is soft, doing wonderfully in a house for the first time.

I would love to see a pic of Neko cooling her belly by the frig. The solarium sounds so nice in the shade....80 degrees is like a cold front here.

Wow...that is amazing! 21 years old and just now hyperT. I hope she is able to treat him.

Bummer on the pink, but at least it is flat :roll: ;-) ;-) .... The PM cycles sure are nice, too and that all that green is in the middle of the night. How I remember those....

LOVE the barn cat! What a cool story. And 21 - that is so greal.

We are 80 today too - sunny and warm with more days of this to come. :-D

Extremely F L A T pink the entire day. What's next Neko?

@Marje - I still think about using R, but Neko has had cycles where she has started blue, gone to pink and gone back down to blue at the end of the cycle. She didn't do that this cycle, but I just don't think I'd be comfortable with R unless she went red. Next time I'll try to remember to get the camera out to take a pic when Neko is front of the fridge, she was there for quite a while today. 80 is a nice summer day here but hotter than the kitties are used to. It's not as dry as Tucson. 21 yr old cat will be treated. He's a love bug and he'll get Tapazole in treat form.

@Michelle - Pink is still Neko's day time go-to colour. :roll: The evening cycles are a little tiring. The barn cat was from the local race track and friendly with people and horses (hence the mice). Other than the hyper T which made him a bit skinny, he's in great shape.

@Rhiannon - Maybe blue later, for now Neko is at her usual. :roll: My aunt had a 23 year old. I'm always a bit annoyed when people call Neko old at 12.

I was only teasing about the R because of your note on our condo today. I think we discussed it before so I totally understand. Would love to see that photo!

Weeny? :lol: :lol: :lol: Michelle has the funniest typos sometimes. Really, Neko, how about a flip of those AM and PM numbers? 21 years for an outside cat is amazing. On the other hand, if there's no dogs and no cars and lots of mice, it's a great life. :lol: :cool:

Neko has gone for a skydive - I hope she pulls the parachute soon. :lol:

@Helen - Neko is showing blue but diving fast. I expect the lagoon is next. Mice were the original cat diet - it seems to agree with them.

@Marje - I got your JK in the original post. Just got me thinking again about R.

@Ella - I'm sure Neko would eat a mouse if she caught it. Or maybe she has already. :? I was getting wiped doing some heavy gardening today.

@Liz - Neko is back in the usual night time zone. :cool: I laughed at the typo too, but I guess I got all sorts of names like that growing up. :lol: The race track has coyotes in the infield, another reason the old cat got a home. That plus he's just a great cat, loves laps, gets much more of those at home.

Sorry to hear about your late nite! It will be interesting to see where Neko goes later this afternoon. :)

Good to hear your friend's barn cat is doing good. Wonder why all the water consumption???

Any luck on the water fountain? Let me know If you need me to pick one up and send it from Seattle?? (If that will help save money)
