It was a fabulous vacation (well almost) day yesterday! I rode 16 miles on the bike, stopped for breakfast where we enjoyed it out on the patio in the sun - under umbrellas but it was still a lovely bright warm morning. Once I arrived at home, got a text from my boss that said he'd catch me up on the details (an issue) as soon as I got back...well I wasn't planning on staying home that long - I was going shopping! Yes, our non-essential retail stores are opening - with plenty of caution of course, no crowding allowed and wearing masks was requested/encouraged.
So after working with him for a couple of hours - ugh - I finally got off to the store - where there were only maybe five people shopping in this huge store! All wearing masks and staying away from one another...it was a pleasure to get into a store where there's no food! Not a Walmart or a Target...ya know?
We went out for an early dinner at a restaurant where there was only one other couple at a far-away table...then the restaurant was completely empty for most of our meal. A few others came in but were seated far away...the tables are 'marked' with a flower in a vase for seating...not many tables are going to be avaiable in the restaurants because they're starting at 25% capacity. I'm so thankful to be in an area where COVID-19 hasn't been terrible - we are blessed.
I hope you all will have a pleasant day and that things in your area start returning to normal soon...may your kitties surf safely as well!
