Good Morning LL!!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Happy Sunday to everyone. :-D
Last night I left a note on Mannie's espresso maker.... in hopes that Elsa was truly on board with the ~O) thing.... I had an urge for that orange vanilla mocha that Mannie used to make, suggested she give it a try.... sheshhhh! The clatter started about 1AM, then came this really bizarre whirling sound.... seems that she was taking her work seriously and using real oranges, with an auto peeler! This morning when I woke I was greeted with a hot steaming cup of a vanilla orange mocha, with a dollop of orange sherbert on top. not bad miss Elsa! I was going to thank her, but couldn't find her until I went into the kitchen....  there she was, zonked out cold on the floor with an ice cream scoop in her paw, sherbert all over her whiskers, melting sherbert all around. I'm going to need to hire a maid....

WooHOO for sunny days, blue skies ad 75 degree weather, My hike yesterday was GREAT! I went to Deception pass, about an hour 's drive north of here. Its located on the north end of Whidbey Island, and host to some darn incredible views, water passages and one of the most photographed bridges in the state. The eagles were out too, and by 1PM so were the tourists!  Nonetheless I had such a great time. It got very busy there about 1PM as all the families started to show up for a day at the beach, BBQ included. The aromas coming off those grills.... Mannie wold have loved it! Here are the Picassa inks: one for deception pass, and another for a small lake trail i did before heading home. Deception Pass: Lighthouse point, Rosario and Pass Lake

I hope everyone has a great day today. It will be catch up day for me... since I played yesterday and pretty much ignore everything here at home: shopping, laundry, bills, clearing an the endless work thing called the yard. I had best get cracking! Enjoy your day everyone, I hope it is great.

Think Blue, think green kitties!

I'm glad you got to go out and have a nice hike yesterday. Those pictures are beautiful. I like the ones of the butterfly and woodpecker. We have a woodpecker that looks similar to that, except it has a red head like Woody Woodpecker, at my house every year.

Morning Michelle, that is hilarious with Elsa in the kitchen with Mannie's Espresso machine and then in the end passed out cold with an an ice cream in her hand. I think we are going to end up with a new coffee ice cream drink which is fine with me, as I love ice cream. I wonder where Mannie hid that 10 hour Energy coffee drink!
Beautiful pics of your two hiking areas. I can see why they would start getting packed with families having picnics, sunning, beautiful places to spend a day.
Enjoy getting all your chores done. Maybe a mini hike once chores completed. :-D Have a great day, Michelle and good luck to Elsa on her coffee classes. Mags has offered to come over and help Elsa. Warning, she's pretty bad in the kitchen.

 Morning Michelle! Mmmmm vanilla orange mocha, delish! I'll take one, please! Maybe Marje can loan out Lupita to help clean the kitchen?

Beautiful pictures from yesterday... deceptively beautiful! I like to live vicariously through you. I am in serious need of a vacation, somewhere, anywhere! But for now, your photos are a great substitute.

Hope you have a great day Michelle! Have fun doing all your chores :)

THX on the pics - that area up north s so pretty! Hikes are not too hard, and the scenery is so well worth the effort. THX on today, about half way done with it all, so maybe an out and about in a few.

Hi Kathie! :-D many thanks on the pics - such a nice place to go and spend some time. We did get out some today, mostly yard work, but still great to spend it outside in the sun. YAY!

Thanks for sharing those beautiful pic of your hiking! I can almost smell that fresh mountain air from here!

What a perfect day and what stunning photos! Michelle, I'm glad you didn't stay home to do yard work!!

Thanks for all your visits during "Mannie Week" in the City. I'm sure he enjoyed every minute from his lookout on the Bridge.

Catch up with you tomorrow. I'm tired out!! (too much yard work; too hot!)

Elsa's drinks sound, well, interesting! She's trying hard. Good girl!

ni ni,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Helen - Many thanks! I am so glad you enjoyed then!

Hi Ella - I can relate on that too much yard work and the too hot. That is what I did this afternoon too, and it was "hot " for us @ 80. LOL on Elsa... The girl does love her frozen desserts. Yupp - she sure does try. Thank you for Mannie week - it was such a spirit lifter for me, I enjoyed it all, and Ann's photos. What fun it all was. Many thanks on the photos! I could not agree more on the staying home and yard work vs the adventure on two legs! Much more fun to look upon such views. Iy was a perfect day!

NI NI LL! This bean is toast and I am off to bed - even before finding out who wins the Amazing Race..... ;-)

Sorry for the late visit, but I was outside for most of the day. Your photos are fantastic. I'm sure Tourism Washington could use some of them in their ad campaigns. That trail has such a diversity of scenery and plants. You couldn't have picked a better day for that trip. :-D

Scritches to Elsa - it was so hot she probably appreciated the ice cream.

Morning Wendy ~O) ~O) ~O)

THX, so agreed on the picking a better day - this one was perfect. There is alot of variety in plants etc on this hike. It was really nice to see so much in bloom too. LOL, and yes on Elsa.
