At the vet now they just took him in for blood and urine. He does need a dental but he wouldn’t let her get in and look at his back teeth so we won’t know how bad he is until he goes in. She said she does see some tartar and a bit of inflammation. Really want to tell her I’m not here for his diabetes just do the blood work! She is very nice but not supportive of daily testing and was shocked he is not being managed by a vet. I told her our previous vet gave bad advice and we have been managing his diabetes ourselves. She didn’t want to look at spreadsheet just said I could send her a day of testing and we could go from there. When I told him he is on a raw diet she kind of cringed. Almost suggested prescription diet but I think she caught herself.

. I am horrified on your behalf. My Vet said something similar about over-testing and stress, blah blah blah
