Yesterday

Yet another day with a so-so appy. Harvey got his Ond & Cypro and still wasn't moving off my chair. He looked a bit uncomfortable, so I gave him a little Bupe. Two hours later he cleaned up his breakfast and has been working on a second helping. I think I'm going to tell Dawn to just give him the tummy meds every day, unless his Hoover suddenly shows up. He made a brief appearance at the lagoon, but guess he thought it wasn't good weather for swimming, as he didn't stay long.

While weather could have affected his appy in the past few days, not today. Cool, windy and overcast. We had some thundershowers earlier. Just enough rain to make me run upstairs and close all the windows (then it stopped).

Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Continued healing vines to Sienne.

When are you leaving town? I need a Dawn in my life. The only problem is Max is too spoiled and would hide the whole time. Well the other problem is I don't have a Dawn. I hope Harvey starts eating better.

We need Harvey back in the water, ready to toss out the water wings. Maybe tonight?

Sorry his appy is less than hoover. Sending vines.

Yo Deputy Harvey,
No worries, I've been in the lagoon all day (moderately deep end and now the shallows). All is well. See you later, maybe. Hope you're feeling better.

Harvey, you need Snick's appy! If I could take some from her I would! All I can do is send appy vines..

Awwww now Harvey.....just eat your fuds boy!! It's easy!!

Maybe I should send China over to give him a few lessons!! (of course the only way I can get her to eat is to sit there and spoon feed her half the time....don't know what's so special about that silly spoon!!)

Yo Harvey!! You're just up da beach a little ways...You going to come play in da lagoon wif me tonight??

I's here, China! I not sure if I want to go way out there tonight. Maybe we can play in the shallows? - Harvey

Thanks for the appy vines. @Suzi_S, I wish you could share some of Snick's appy with Harvey. Nice thought, though. :bighug:

@tiffmaxee I have given him Cerenia, almost every day, but it doesn't seem to help any more than the Ondansetron does. I just checked and he hasn't had it in two days, so if I don't see an improvement in his appy shortly, I might give him some. We had a late dinner and PMPS (Mark and I both got home late and we needed to move the t/f/s times up anyway, for Dawn), so it's only been just under an hour since he got his Ond & Cypro. I'd like to give them a chance to work before giving him anything else.

It does seem to me that his appy is getting worse, and the meds seem to be less effective the past few days. His last UCD visit was 4/14 and they said to come back in 1-2 months. I'm leaning toward the 1 month option right now. I'm wondering if maybe we need to go back up on the Pred. I hate to give up these great numbers, but I want him to feel better. This is hard. :(

I know it's silly, but every time I hear "happy Cinco de Mayo", I think "what's happy about it"? It just reminds me that my Cinco is gone. I can't believe how much I miss him. Everything still feel kind of surreal. The past few months have been so intense that I just can't seem to get a grip on reality. I can't even explain it properly. Don't mind me. I'll just ramble on...

I know it has to be tough on you...but if anybody is "Chief in charge of the Cinco de Mayo festivities" at the Bridge, you know it's got to be your Cinco!!

Yo Harvey!! Good to see you!....let's swim a few laps and I guess we could try to stay out of trouble for a change...how about it?

I think making him feel better is the most important thing. You can always give more insulin to counter the pred. I'll be curious to hear what your vet says. We've been debating a pred reduction here, so I've been curious to see what impact it can have.

Thankfully it's the 6th now. :bighug:

:bighug::bighug::bighug:I know yesterday was extra tough with all the reminders around....

I wonder if Harvey is having a p-titis flare these last few days since the bupe is helping him. Are you taking bupe to Dawn's too?

I agree with Wendy about possibly raising the pred back up...the "good" thing about insulin is you can adjust the dose as you need based on other health conditions.

Tons of feel better vines for Harvey!!

Tricia I've seen that lots of cats need both Cerenia and ondansetron as tgey work differently and might help better in conjunction. Appy vines and anti pain vines for Harvey. I think we all thought of Cinco yesterday.
