Have you contacted Abbott for a replacement when they shut down? (Never say it’s for a pet)
Seems like they will replace them for not working properly.

I think I'm going to get a CGM for Jude so that I can put it on him when I want/need to get out of town. I think it will be easier for someone who is monitoring him if he's got a CGM. But these stories worry me. Do you know why it's on the fritz?

I don't know. I think I suck at applying them, maybe. Although the one the vet installed never worked at all, so maybe it's not just me. 😜

You’re doing great Elaine!!!
It just takes practice.
I can’t imagine anyone being perfect at it immediately.

And frankly, from what I’ve learned, the vets offices are worse at it.
They just don’t do it often enough and they don’t seem to have all of the information that we have believe it or not. (And they use glue which kills the sensor! 🤯

You know they’re not spending the time combing through all of the data that we have in using an off label CGM for a pet.
They’re not in communities discussing it constantly, they’re not on Facebook or forums talking to people who are focusing on it because they need it desperately for their kitties.

So I really feel with the right support, It can be a very helpful tool. Is it perfect, no absolutely not, but it’s another tool in our toolbox. 💕
