Yesterday's Homecoming Condo

Cinco hopes everyone is enjoying HIS day! He is celebrating with some lovely Margherita green numbers. :D Didn't take the boy long to get back to bizness (anti-jinx) and I couldn't be more pleased.:woot:

Minka had a decent appy right off the bat - ate half her breakfast before tummy meds, and polished off the rest during subqs. :) I did notice during fluids that she sounds a little congested. I'll keep an eye on that and add it to the list of things to discuss tomorrow when she goes to UCD for her chemo. Don't know if I mentioned it, but we are also watching her for weakness in her back legs - both DH and I have seen her knees kind of buckle a couple of times recently, and she's jumping up on things a little less and waiting to be picked up more. Can't let Mama go too long without something new to worry about! :nailbiting:

Sasha's appy is not so great this morning. I had to add Forti Flora AND crushed Hypo treats to her breakfast, and even then she only ate half. I gave her some Ondansetron and am headed up to see if it helped shortly. I notice the bronchodilator seems to wear off after about 8-10 hours. Dosing is every 12, so she's sounding rough again those last 3 hours or so. Not nearly as bad as she does without it, though!

Harvey did not care for this morning's entree (Friskies Special Diet T&G), and only ate a couple of bites of my second offering (Dave's Chicken & Tuna in Gravy, which everyone, including him, LOVED last night). Not wanting to open yet another can, I gave him some Wellness Turkey, which has fallen way out of popularity around here, but DH had used it for Cinco's t/f/s this morning. Wouldn't you know, Harvey ate that! :rolleyes: I really do suspect these creatures of nefarious schemes to kill me, or at least make my hairstylist rich (coloring gets more expensive every day!)! :joyful:

I need to dump all the boxes today and vacuum, sweep, etc., so best get moving.

Thanks for stopping in, Wendy and Elise. Yes, Elise. Minka is on every other week for chemo. The weeks that she doesn't have chemo, she has acupuncture. I think she only has two more chemo sessions, and then we have to decide whether or not to do more. If we do more, it would probably be an every third week schedule, to give her more time to recover in between. I'm hoping they'll do the ultrasound and say all's clear.

Yup. I often tell Polly, "If you kill me, who's going to take care of you? Think about that little girl."

Maybe the little ones get together and plot who will be the "problem" child next. Goodness knows, you've got some full plates to deal with, and I'm not talking about food. Bravo on your ability to keep them all spinning.

Cinco...maybe a Mexican brew here tonight. In your honor, of course.

I, too, will be munching on chips and salsa later on today. Beautiful run of numbers Cinco has going on there! I sure hope those kitties decide to give you a small lil break of maybe even a few hours to begin with!

Cinco, it's your day! :D :D Wow, didn't take long to get back to the lagoon. :D :D Sounds like everyone did SUPER while you were away, Tricia. And you do need to get away from time to time. Sorry about the bowling and slots, can't have everything. :p

Thanks for visiting us, Marilyn, Molly, Chris, Ella, Liz, Deanna, Vicki and Rhiannon. Cinco is very happy to have so many people celebrating his day. Since I have no idea when he was born, I think I will consider May 5th his birthday. It just seems right!

I used that picture last year, and several people thought it was Cinco. His eyes were much lighter in color. I'm not sure how he'd react to my putting a hat on his head, either. Probably better than Harvey would! :joyful:

The girls both ate their dinner in several sessions, and the boys did their usual vacuum jobs. All have been medicated and hydrated and Cinco is floating in the lagoon. I don't have any Margherita mix, so an appletini will have to do - at least it's green! :D

Damn it's already the 6th here but since it's still the 5th there I think I'm right to celebrate Cinco day, as it happens I have all the fixings for tortillas and Japanese slipper cocktails so I will be toasting your boy tonight :)

I emailed off some queries to the cat sack people (thanks so much for the link) but they haven't got back to me yet, perhaps because the first question I asked was do you ship to Australia and probably they don't :rolleyes:
 
Awwww thanks for the offer you are very sweet but yes I can order from Amazon. I'm not sure you can ask questions there though - but I can ask you! I'm wondering how I'm going to go trying to stuff Vyktor into it with his arthritis. He gets pretty sore in his back end, do you think that would be a problem?
