I am going to be a contrarian. I think R is a great tool in this case. I would go conservative with the Levemir and use R a bit more instead. That way if his Lev dose needs reduce quickly, you have less of the big L depot hanging around. At this point in Neko's dance (first SRT). I moved to reductions if below 70, to give me a little buffer for safety. I wasn't quite as conservative the second time, but I had a better handle on her cycles and still did some back to back reductions that held or if she hit the 50's and it seemed like she wanted less juice. Also know that sometimes the need for less juice will seem to come out of the blue and surprise you. Exciting times.
