It looks like he may have an issue with his bladder. When vet felt it he growled at her. He never growls at people.
I never noticed any signs but he has been off his food for a bit. He also has some pretty bad tartar and gingivitis. So BW and urinalysis is being done. Otherwise she did not notice anything besides the muscle wasting. Skinny butt cat he is and she said it will not change with the pred being used. So, no big issues found. If UTI will give antibiotic and get that cleared up before any dental is done. They are looking under the microscope at the pee to see if the see any bacteria. If so they will send me home with some AB.
Well, we didn't get any AB as they didn't have time to check the urine today. Hope he can hold out a couple of extra days, would be happier with us taking care of it right now but she wanted to make sure she knew what meds to give, which makes sense.
Ok not sure if that was due to the big drop this morning or vet stress or pain from the bladder or infection related or all four...hope he comes down tonight!
Oh, I hope nothing going on with the bladder. Let's hope he growled because he had a full bladder and didn't want to embarrass himself peeing on the table. Hope the BW gives you some answers soon.
