Freaking out a bit... I had to leave right after +2. I left a good deal of what I thought was a high carb food, but now I'm thinking it was actually much lower in carbs. I left two bowls and he had already polished off one when I left, which was the gravy from the can mixed with BG chicken.

Trying to get ahold of my sister (who is most likely asleep) to see if she will go over and check on him. If not, I can try to sneak off for lunch in another 30 minutes or so, which would put me home around +4.25 or +4.5.

Breathe! Willie is getting so little insulin it is really rare for them to go too low. Be good Willie and SURF!

Went home over lunch... Willie was lounging on the sofa and looked very irritated when I walked in... like I was somehow interrupting his quiet time. :lol: :lol: :lol: We had some lunch time cuddles and then I headed back to work. Numbers are definitely in the safe range, so we are good.

One of the things that has made me more nervous recently is that my meter tends to run high... generally I find that the Advocate runs at the top of the 20% meter variance while the Freestyle and Relion (my backups) run at the bottom of the 20%. I just worry about him going too low during the day when I'm gone, though with such a little dose, I know he isn't in as much danger. If I am particularly concerned about a given number or Willie's safety, I will at times test with both... when one runs high and one runs low, the overlap is actuallly a very small range. When I left this afternoon, Advocate was giving me a 106 while Freestyle was giving me a 74. If both meters are functioning normally, Willie' s actual range was between 85 and 89. I don't ever use these calculations to make dosing decisions, it is more just a peace of mind thing when I'm concerned about him being safe, especially in situations where I am needing to leave and narrowing the range can give me a better sense of whether or not he's rising/falling. Amazing the mental gymnastics in the sugar dance!!

I am closer to buying a house... after talking through one of the properties I saw at the open houses with my friends/family, I'm almost ready to make an offer. Going to view it again with my realtor and look at a couple other places on Friday. If all works out, I think I'll be putting in an offer! I'm starting to get excited!

Wow Those are impressive numbers! Good luck with the house. It is kind of a nerve-wracking but very exciting process, I am glad you found something you like!

Hi guys! Impressive morning for you guys. Willie - nice job! It is nerve wracking when they are running low numbers and you have to leave. Looks like he had a nice surf going on there. :-D

Congrats on the being one step closer to home ownership. I hope it works out! paws crossed. Mannie wants to make sure it has a yard, a Willie and the gang friendly yard. he says not to forget the fire-pit and grillin' racks. :lol:
