Thank you, everyone, for all the visits, support, prayers, and vines. Trix does seem like she has recovered from Tuesday's "event", which I am fairly certain was a small stroke. Her walking is back to normal; other other behaviors (eating, LB habits, social interactions) weren't affected by the "event", and so they are still good...although for a little added fun she did decide to barf up last night's evening meds. "Fortunately" it was soon enough after I pilled her (they were gross and squishy but 100% intact) that I was actually able to re-dose them. I really did not want her going all night without her cerenia and Pepcid. Thankfully the second round stayed down, as did her Zeniquin which she got 2 hours later.

This event really does remind me of what happened last summer, although last summer's event was much more dramatic in that she had fallen off the bed and was in more of a seizure mode with being contorted and fast, open-mouthed breathing. Just like Tuesday, she was starting to recover by the time we got her in the carrier, and she had a funny walk for about a day afterwards.

@Dyana - I have been to Red Bank but it has been a very long time - back in 2002 when our first kitty, Mr Kitty, was being treated for lymphoma. Back then, Red Bank was the only specialty hospital around here. Now we've got Northstar in Robbinsville (which is where we've been going lately), as well as VSEC in Langhorne, both of which are much closer for us. It's great that we have so many options nowadays!

I'm going to do my best to have what I consider to be a "normal" day for myself - what I wish my life would be like on a regular basis.....clean bathrooms (yes, compared to what I've been living lately, I'd much rather spend my time cleaning bathrooms!), run a few errands, spend some time in the studio....prayers and fingers crossed.

Prayers to all....thank you again.

Amy

More support and prayers for Trixie and you, Amy. So glad Trixie is doing better. I know I have said this before, but she is one amazing kitty, and no wonder with you as her Mama.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

This is great news! I wonder if kitties can have TIAs - "transient ischemic attacks" - that don't result in any lingering deficits?
In my poking around, apparently for a long time they were skeptical that cats can have strokes and I guess it's been fairly recent that this thinking has changed. Personally I don't see why there would be any reason why any creature that has a brain couldn't have a TIA, so I personally think it is possible for cats to have them.

Trix really is something else...one strong little kitty.

Good news! Hope the civies are doing well too.
For the most part they seem good. Zen did have a bit of a barf this morning but he also re-ate right away and seems to feel fine, unlike last week when he was definitely not feeling well. He has had off and on issues all his life, though...yet another challenge but that's another story. Noah is completely over what it was last week....

Sounds like it was a good day. So glad that Trix is OK and that Zen and Noah are doing OK, too.
I hope you enjoyed cleaning the bathroom:p
Have a good, relaxing evening.
