Silly Skooter Cat's Condo 05/03

So I finally gave in and turned the air on last night. The open windows and fan just weren't cutting it for Skooter and I could tell he was uncomfy. I figure since he has a dental tomorrow, the house should be as comfy as possible. When I went to turn it on, I understood why he was not happy, it was 80 degrees in the house!

He is doing much better now that it is cooler.....hoping to get the bedroom all situated tonight so when he comes home tomorrow it will be basically bringing the kennel in the bedroom and then locking ourselves in there for the night! I am planning on running home at lunch time to get a check in as he dropped a chunk in the first bit. I did start the new pen this morning....very tempted to skip tonight if he gives me a green preshot because even with the lower 100s, he has been dropping by like half in the first few hours....
 
We shall see... I think it will be a game time decision....

with the exception of two numbers slightly outside the 120 range....we have 86 hours of normal numbers!!!

It was very hot last night up here too! Oh I hate worrying about what to do. The feline diabetes is sometimes an educated guess when going into surgery. I hope Skooter throws normal numbers to make your choice easier.
 
So I went with 0.10 tonight --- it was a gut thing, not sure if this will make him sky rocket up or not, guess we shall see.....I am not even sure if I got the 0.10, I tried a couple of times, but we shall see......I will say, with the three exceptions (a 125, a 127 and a 121 --- all of which could be 120 or under with meter variance) we have 93 hours in normal range!!!!! How flipping exciting is that?!?!?!?!

I will admit, I am a weeeee bit nervous for tomorrow. I am not sure if it is better or worse that I know somewhat of what to expect....tonight will be spent getting a few supplies to make baby shower invites that I will be working on while home with Skooter on Wednesday and getting my room all nice and cozy and ready for us to be locked in tomorrow night and all day Wednesday :P
 
With that drop, I am glad I only did the 0.10.....

Now the real fun....no more food/beverage until tomorrow night....I, being the dork that I am, also do not eat anything once he can't. I may drink a little when he isn't looking, but I just feel bad because he just looks at me while I am eating, so......
 
Surf safe tonight Skooter! On Neko's second to last dental I gave her a token .1U the morning of, and the stinker got down to mid 50's just before her procedure at the vets. Go depot!

Tons of excellent dental vines going your way. I love how you are setting up a cozy little spot for the two of you to hang tomorrow.
 
Paws crossed for a safe surf tonight and a ton of dental vines for tomorrow!! So glad to hear your vertigo episodes are gone--I was getting worried!!
 
I feel just awful.....he started meowing and hissing when I tested him just now and he is looking all over the bedroom for food. I am locking us in for the night in case he finds something he shouldn't out in the other rooms... #feelinglikeabadmomma :(
 
Sorry I missed your condo yesterday, Molly. Happy belated Gotcme Day!!! Loved your story. I think the slogan, "Who rescued who?" is appropriate in this case.

I know what you mean about feeling so mean when they are past their food cutoff time and they want to eat. Cats are masters at making beans feel guilty.

Sending tons of good vetty and dental vines, and calming vines for the nervous bean. Also :bighug::bighug::bighug:.
