Good Morning, Everyone,
Rusty had a good night, but his breathing was not great this morning. I attribute this to the lingering cold and damp weather and I wish this awful weather would clear out of here, but apparently that won't happen until Tuesday now. We, however, are leaving for NYC tomorrow, and hopefully the weather there will be better. This morning Rusty tried a new food: Wild Callings Cabin Fever (chicken). He liked it. According to the work Ann (Tess) has done, it has about 4.5% carbs. If he continues to like it, I'll try to find more (found it in the Potsdam Agway, which is an hour and a half drive from here). I also bought a can of the rabbit and we will try that next. When we're in the city I'll surely be able to find stores that stock Wild Callings.
I heard back (immediately) from Canidae support. They were very concerned about my finding lots of peas in some of the cans of their Pure Elements grain-free cat food. (I had looked up the list of ingredients for the Pure Elements canned dog food and saw that it does contain peas. I wrote to ask if dog food might inadvertently have been put into cat-food cans, since, in addition to the peas, the color and consistency of the food was different from the cans that did not contain peas.) They are going to check it out at their cannery. In the meantime they are sending me vouchers for the cans I bought. I also asked them for the "typical nutrient analysis" of Grain Free Pure Elements canned cat food. They recently changed the formula (it used to be called Felidae and had fish and other stuff in it). They do not have the typical nutrient analysis for the new formula yet but will contact me when it is ready. I did not expect such a prompt response and was pleased that they are taking my concern about the peas to heart.
I hope to get to some condos today. The board seems to be OK now. Lots to do to get ready for our trip.
Wishing you all a fine day,
Ella & Rusty
