Thanks for the visits and for encouraging Rusty to eat. He didn't heed your calls and didn't eat very much: most of his breakfast was eaten, but the lunch and snack in his automat were untouched. He did eat some when we got home, at +9. And during the happy hour he ate some Paw Lickin' Chicken. It was hot today and I know he feels the big change in the temperature. He was fast asleep in his little bed when we got home. In a little while I'll go down and sit on the couch with him and hold his dinner dish!
It was great to get out on the water again (first time since November!). Our paddle wasn't as long as we had planned because the wind was blowing at 40 mph!! So we headed for a more protected part of the lake and then paddled back to the starting beach and ate our lunch at our friends' house. It was a fun day. They had been in Florida all winter, so it was great to see them again. I hope tomorrow's paddle will have better paddling conditions.
Off to visit condos. I hope all is well in L&LL.

First time on the water each year is special.
Even if the weather was less than perfect. There's something about that sound of paddles and boat moving through the water that brings inner calm. Sending good weather vines for tomorrow's paddle.

Looks like Rusty had a nice surf while you were off paddling!!
I can see how trying to paddle against 40mph winds would be tough....seems like you'd go forward one stroke and be blown back where you started...could paddle all day and get nowhere.....LOL
Hope tomorrow brings better conditions....and Rusty...eat yer fuds!!!

After last night's party, Rusty's gotten used to gourmet eating perhaps? Please Rusty, eat your fuds!! Ella, Tiger does the same thing when I leave food in the Otto Feeder, I just leave it open nowadays and pray she will eat. 
Glad you were able to go out on the water, bet you really missed that but hopefully next time there will be no wind!
