Quiet night last night so some of us got a bit of shut eye. Pedro was busy guarding windows all night but doing the stealth approach rather than howling around.
He had 1/4 cypro in the PM so ate well. Right now I'm giving him a 1/4 cypro every 3 days just to get the calories in him if he has been eating a bit less for the previous days. Tried the 1/8 cypro and it had no effect.
Talked with my vet about the tail/Cushings testing and he is going to do a phone consult with another vet that he feels is really good. He said this is the vet he would send us to if we want but he is trying to prevent more stress on Pedro as they would 1st run all the same tests he has already done. He'll see if she has thoughts on additional tests to run... and he will run them. Really like my vet - he has no ego in this and really is thinking about Pedro as he knows how awful he is at the vet's. He said he has never had a cat that fights everything the way Pedro does and he ain't kidding. The last time we went for blood work we had to muzzle him and could hardly keep him on the table. And he has good techs and I am able to help try to keep him under control. Part of the problem now is that Pedro anticipates what is coming as soon as he gets to the clinic. So we'll see. We still have him on the books for a Cushing test next Monday (we have to have him in on a day when he has his top techs in and he is not on road calls cause Pedro needs all hands on deck for the all day testing). If he finds that the other Vet has some different thoughts we will just cancel.
