We seem to be doing highs and lows lately.

I'm holding to shoot/feed because of the low number. I was hoping that bumping down to 1.75 would help keep us in the pretty blues and greens without seeing these drastic drops, but it seems like we are down there again. I know that these are "good" numbers in the long run, and that we would like to see him there all the time, but it's still a comfort issue of giving him insulin when his numbers are this low, and getting a gauge on good and bad, and the right dose.

And he's getting really annoyed with the ear pokes.....oh well, another day at the kitty rodeo.

Can you afford to be off schedule in the AM?

If you look at last night, D'Artagnan's numbers tend to go up.

it looks like D'Artagnan may be working on another dose reduction. What's your schedule tonight, are you planning to skip or do you have more time to stall?

Re: 5.4 D'Artagnan +12 52,13 51 Options?

Hi All,

Thanks for responses, I have wondered if we should consider moving him to 1.5 for a few cycles and take a look at what happens.

We just tested again, so +13, and he's at 51.

12 52,
12.25 54
12.5 55
12.75 57
13 51

because he dipped my inclination is to feed, but I don't know what to do about the shot.

Thoughts?

Re: 5.4 D'Artagnan +12 52,13 51 Options?

yeah, we've noticed his numbers tend to be low in the evening and higher in the morning.

I'm not sure if it's because i'm catching a morning bounce, and not catching the lowest lows in the evening, or if it's just because he likes messing with my dinner plans ;)

Re: 5.4 D'Artagnan +12 52,13 51 Options?

how late can you shoot tonight and still be able to shoot 12 hours later in the morning? Also, how late will you be able to monitor tonight?

@ 13.25 he tested at 39.

13.5 is the latest we can shot and shot again in the morning.

However at 39, we decided to feed, it just dropped to low for my comfort.

We mixed a small dash of gravy ff in with his lc ff to ensure we didn't have a plummet in numbers.

We'll test again at 13.5, but I don't know if we'll be able to shoot.

I guess he just answered that question. I would skip and shoot at your regular time in the morning. I would also reduce by 0.25 units.

I wouldn't worry all that much about testing if you're not shooting. You need to make sure his numbers come up and stay up but I also suspect you may see a bounce from that 39. I guess D'Artagnan was tired of that dose!

While I realize these numbers probably cause nailbiting nailbite_smile ... I can't wait until it's my turn

Gosh. 39. If you happen to have a higher test after that and would like to post it so that the rest of stop nailbiting... feel free!!!!! nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile :-D
