Yesterday was one of Zener's punk days, appy not so great and tummy discomfort. A yellow evening cycle after several blue-green evening cycles in a row, I must have jinxed it by writing about his trend of blue-green cycles in his condo. :roll: He seems to be feeling much better this morning even with a stinky pinky start. And he looks to be on one of his slides. Time will tell... ;-)

@Serryn - Zener is very pleased you called him a "cutie"! :-D

A week or two ago, we asked our AC to check in with Zener. She reported to us that when she checked in, he was feeling good (it was a day where he was eating great, playing and doing all his usual things, after a couple of days of poor appy and being punk despite no signs of any problems with blood work and urinalysis). Zener told her that he has good days and bad days, that the tummy massage and the meds are very helpful, and that he loves us very much and appreciates all we do to help him. We find what she tells us very encouraging especially after an episode of poor/no appy, when we get worried and discouraged. Our big guy has quite the team supporting him - the mamabeans, his LL friends and family, his AC and of course, the Queen of Everything, civvie Tillie Tooter.

Nice slow slide there Zener! I'm glad the AC was able to let you know what all of us already do and that is that you are both great beans and Zener is thankful for all you do. Hope you all have a wonderful day and Zener is feeling better today.

Nice slide Zenner. Blue soon? You two woork so hard to keep the Z-man healthy. I know how worrying appy problems can be, although we only occasionally have them w/ Tess. Oh for a cat who loves to eat and go on a diet! :roll: :lol: :lol:

Glad Zener's appy is better today. I know it's a worry for both of you when he gets off; so glad the AC is there for you. Coming down nice and slow. Scritches to Zener and Tillie.

It's been a very warm day and low key. Zener had some flat yellows mid-cycle, then started a slow slide down to a blue PMPS.

@Ann & Tess - psychic you are, blue PMPS! You are so right about how worrying appy problems are. We sure wish we could snap our fingers and solve that one!

@Ann & Maggie - we always feel better after a chat with our AC. Scritches delivered as requested, and much appreciated!

Lots of napping behavior today. Zener seems to be favoring one of his front legs a little bit. He has been known to leap down from things and get a hitch in his git-along, so we will keep a close eye and see if things resolve without a trip to the vetty. We would like to make it through a week or two without a visit!

Gosh, we would sure like to go a few more weeks without a vetty visit. And he seems to be on the way to some action tonight, based on his +1. :shock:

It is good to read that Zener is feeling good today - YAY! Hope all is well with the leg, as I can imagine that you hope to go for some time without seeing the walls of the vetty office.

I know what wonderful beans you both are, how devoted & caring to Zener!! He knows it too.. What a lovely evening he is having!!!!!!!
I used an AC when Moonie was first DX'd but she wasnt very good--Yeseven though I am a psychic, I cant get things from Moonie because I am too close..Sometimes I hear her loud & clear, then others, I am clueless because of emotion...Lucky for you that you have a good one!!

Zener & Moonie both have some real good days, & some not so good...like us, but they are more silent about it--Wish they could tell us outright what is wrong!

@Roni - we didn't know you were psychic, very cool! It helps that our AC used to live here and visited the kitties in person twice. It was amazing to watch her with them and how they reacted to her, fascinating. Yep, the Z is much like the moonster - good days and some not so good, sure wish they could tell us, but then maybe they are and at the same time wishing we could get a clue! :lol: Sweet dreams to you and the marvelous Moonie.

@Marje - not sure on the PJ party yet. I'll get another test in an hour and see. Of course, since I have somewhere to be in the morning at 8:30.... :roll: The calipers arrived today! Poorly packaged in a padded envelope as before, but not sliced open and empty this time. :-D Liz is already sorting them out, so she may have some questions for you. I went through at least 8 syringes tonight before finding a good one. :evil:

It's a warm evening for us in Flagstaff, and windows are open a touch. Very interesting for the kitties - lots of sounds and smells, must be alert. :razz:

I've been having issues with syringes, too. Threw out three this evening. I'll be around if Liz wants to consult :lol:

Thanks Marje! I'll let her know. She is sleeping now, but will likely be experimenting more with the calipers tomorrow. :YMHUG:
