Good Morning Everyone,

We took Stu's dose up to 1.5 units this morning. I hope it will help. I think going down to 1.25 was a mistake. I have also been having real problems with air bubbles in the syringes. I've tried both of the brands I have and neither is filling well. Maybe it's the Lantus cartridge that is at fault. Or maybe I've lost my touch! Whatever. In any event, Stu is full of energy this morning. 5Ps are in place. He ate some of his poison weeds and vomited (but no hairball). He gets to stay home with his papabean today. My poor DH pulled an adducter muscle last week and aggravated it yesterday. So he will not be going on the paddle. My sister and I will go, however. DH will go to the picnic later this afternoon (Stu will not!).
We have mild temperatures and sunshine today. But there is a problem with the air quality. Four forest fires are burning in Quebec and the smoke from them is drifting into the Adirondacks. I hope the wind will change!
Everyone have a good holiday. I won't be posting again until this evening. My DH will watch Stu to see that he is acting normally.

Pink for Stu, red for Mannie - I wonder if they just had too much fun a Buzz's party. :-D Here's hoping that they both bring that down today.

Probably a good decision on Stu's dose. Mannie went fairly low last night, but no reduction for him - numbers other than that just don't support giving him one. Hear ya on the air bubble thing too. Really do hate that.

Too bad on DH and the paddle - hope he heals well, and quickly. Enjoy the day - it does sound really nice.

Stu - my man! Stay out of those poison weeds dude, they make you puke. Hey cool though that your papa bean is keeping an eye on you. I love it when mine does - I don't get poked nearly as much. Last night sucked - my bean was after me every 15 minutes with that stupid pokey thing. Be cool man, and makes sure you keep your beans in line. Later! ~~ Mannie

Hope the 1.50u dose works it's magic. Happy Memorial Day...sounds as if you have great plans...have a good one! :razz:

Morning Stu we are on 1.5 as well lets hope this dose works for both of us and I have so much trouble with bubbles as well you have no idea how many times I waste Lantus by squirting it all in the sink and starting over since I cannot get rid of the bubbles and how accurate can a measurement be with a giant bubble in there :roll: :roll: hope the dosecrease helps so I sure understand the bubble frustration I am right there with you.

Have a nice paddle. Sounds like a perfect day for it.

Cool it with the weeds, Stu. Puking is not a good way to get your numbers down!

Maybe Stu had a few too many niptinis last night?? I hope the dosecrease works well for him. Have a good paddle today and I hope your air improves.

Hi again, Stu seems to have enjoyed his day with DH and brought his numbers down pretty well. My DS and I had a challenging paddle: water very low, 6 major obstacles to get over (huge trees down; beaver dams), and mud everywhere (wading in muddy water up to our knees in the kind of mud you can lose your sandals in). My DS is a good sport, however, and I was really proud of how she climbed out on these huge tree trunks in the water, helped drag the canoe over the obtacles, and managed to get back into the canoe without tipping (she's 82 years old!!) The canoe trip from hell (my sister's term for it) was followed by a really nice picnic at our friends' home.
So that was how we spent Memorial Day. Stu is very happy we're all home and got some special chicken treats. My DH is happy because he was able to finish a lot of proofreading on an article he is writing. My DS is happy because she achieved. I'm happy that the day went well.

I can't believe you didn't invite Chef Stu to the picnic.

What a day you and DS had! It looks like Stu gave you a very nice reward for all of that hard work.

Awesome paddle Ella - and KUDOS to your DS. 82? - and she's climbing on logs and hauling canoes and wadding in mud and and and. impressed! Well despite the obstacles, it sounds great. In a way I like obstacles - like when I hike. It makes for great stories, and just seems to add an interesting element to the day - it then becomes an adventure, and adventure with accomplishment. Sounds like a grand time.

Stu - my man! I am so proud of you! What cool numbers your bean has posted. Did you get to go to the picnic? and raid the BBQ? I love BBQ - really cool things fall from the grill. If you are quick enough you can get them before they find you. Be cool dude... ~~ Mannie
