yesterday

fell asleep hard last night on couch before that +3... so at least managed to get a +6 before heading to the real bed.

I took a older can from my old hypo stash of 16% friskies and mixed it with one of the low carbs and she ate that
so that shows me it's likely she's just not liking her offerings.

so ideas of more appropriate gravy making welcome....
i will go get chicken to make a bone broth today.
the goat milk isn't working with her....

about to be pred dose time.

prayers for ailing kitties and beans....

Sending lots of appy vines to Shadow.

Cashmere is very picky, and she currently doesn't like what she's being fed.
I know what food she likes, but I can't change her diet yet because she has a sensitive tummy.
So I started blending it with some water to make is soupy, and she seems to like the soupy consistency, which surprised me.
And sometimes, I sprinkle some freeze dried chicken on it, and she likes that.
Or I blend about 1/4 portion of other foods together with her regular food and water, and this works sometimes.
But whenever I mix something new, I have to be careful how her tummy would react.
Fingers and paws crossed the chicken bone broth will do the trick. :bighug:

@mariko
I do all the possible add ons....
her foods are slushy with water ....
she does like that.
we have some food sensitivity too but I just don't know specifically what it is and she needs to eat. She just won't cooperate with the proper foods.

but is burned out of freeze dried turkey, rabbit, just about everything but duck hearts.
I found a store with Maura cans in Rio Rancho so I'll get some of that brand this coming Saturday when we go to ABQ.

That's good about Mauri because I found the info I was sent and they won't let it be sold on line. I guess they want to be exclusive. That's why I found it a few places that sell brick and mortar as well as on line that said it had to be picked up as did you. Crazy. I hope it's a success for you.

@tiffmaxee
I can get you some if you like. I'm at the post office often mailing stuff.
That is what the company is doing....had it confirmed yesterday. silly though.... you could have a broader reach ....
these days small businesses need all the help they can get to survive.

I'm going to have a chat with the rep after I make sure Max will eat the second can. I'll let you know. Thanks.

Not sure how you make your broth but I make mine by boiling about 12 to 16 (or more if I can get them) chicken drumstick bones which I have taken the meat from to use for another purpose. No reason why you couldn't leave some of the meat on unless there are kidney issues.......I take the meat off to lower the overall phosphorus level of the broth.
I boil the bones for at least 6 to 8 hours before draining them and leaving the liquid in the frig overnight then skimming off the fat before putting the jelly into ice cube trays to freeze. I always have stacks in the freezer and use for Shebas treats. She loves them.
I reuse the bones twice. The second time the jelly is as good as the first. You could put some into Shadows food instead of water and it would taste yummier.
I used to put Apple cider vinegar into the water as it helps leach out the minerals but I read something somewhere - I can't remember what it was now - but I stopped doing that. Sheba likes it better this way too.
So just water and bones. If it is not a jelly, you have used too much water or not boiled long enough........sorry if I am telling you stuff you already know......you probably do
I am never without my stash of frozen chicken broth

@Bron and Sheba 's recipe sounds yummy. I might try it for Rusty (or for us, since I make lots of soups that specify home-made broth).
I hope Shadow's appetite will perk up once you find a good combination of fuds. I've never heard of Mauri. Is it canned or raw?

Hang in there, Rhiannon! Get good sleep!!!

Ella & Rusty

Sending a truckload of appy vines for Miss Shadow! I hope you are able to find the Mauri. Coincidently, a very small pet store close to me carries it, I didn't get a chance to get some but plan to. In the meantime, I hope you are sleeping okay at night, and I hope that the broth helps Shadow. Tiger can't have that because of the calcium but I know it is good for kitties with IBD. :bighug::bighug:
