Ripley is back on track today, after feeling icky last night. Her appy and general mood is better this morning. I wish I knew what makes her feel bad every now and then; I know something's not quite right when she's not hungry, lethargic, quiet, and not cuddly. Between her anemia and kidney stuff and FD it could be anything... But I'm glad she bounces back pretty quickly from these 'episodes.'

WooHOO! Ripley is green and back in the groove. Well done little one. Keep those greens coming. It's good that she feels good today. Would it be great if they could tell us what ails them when things are somewhat off. Where is that crystal ball.... ;-)

Morning Josie, glad Ripley is feeling better and enjoying her rocker today, I bet! The weather has been so nice I wouldn't be surprised if she gets kicked off her rocker some part of the day. :-D It is hard when they feel off and knowing the cause, as you say with the FD, anemia or crd. Hope this is a good day for both of you.

I just found out my DH got tix for us to see the stage production of Les Miz on Sunday! Yippee! (I've seen it every time it has come to Sacramento, since I was in high school.) Unfortunately, I may have to give Ripley a late shot Sunday night. It's a matinee show, so it will only be at the most an hour late. AND I've been adjusting her times for an EARLY shot on Saturday night (our good friend's engagement party). Poor Ripley ~ a 'victim' of our (rare) social life ;-) :lol: . I have a feeling she'll do just fine, though. And I'm so excited about having Grown Up Plans Sat and Sun!! Yippee!! :-D :-D

Speaking of feeling better, Ripley's in rare form tonight: perky, peppy, hungry, and playful.

Yes, playful.

"Playful" is not the first word I would use to describe Ripley. It's not even the 78th.

But tonight, she was acting perky right before dinner ~ she was letting me know she was hungry in typical Ripley-fashion: by chewing. She chewed on my hair (thanks for waking me up from my cat-nap, Ripples :roll: ). She chewed on a magazine. On printer paper. On her rocking chair.

So I decided it was time to take a drastic measure: I brought out her favorite rainbow-string-pole-toy.

And she started playing. And didn't stop until about 5 minutes later (which, in cat-time, is about a week and a half). She didn't run around, mind you. Oh no, she just stayed on her rocker and grabbed and bit at that string.

It's true. It really happened.

Look closely and savor, for this rarely happens.
 
Awwwwww....I'm so glad Ripley is feeling great and playful today! We have that toy, too...I haven't brought it out in a while. Maybe tomorrow evening, before the bean gets too tired :lol: !

Ripley, you are precious! and you play very similar to Shasta. She attacks, but doesn't do much moving...I have to do all the work!!!! :lol: Glad her mood is back to her happy, spunky self. Love the happy kitties! Nice numbers for a nice night. Sleep well, Josie & Ripley!
