Hello LL, we're back from holidays. Papaya packed her trampoline and spent most of the vacation at my parents' place doing bounce, bounce, bounce. I caught some later-than-expected low numbers around +8s which may have explained a lot, but missed some tests due to the difficulty of trying to extricate a cat from under the couch when she has carpet to hang on to  On the human side, it was a bit cold and windy, but I helped get most of the garden planted. On the one sunny day we got to enjoy, I discovered that the Claritin I took for seasonal allergies makes me allergic to the SUN. Hellooooo a week of the world's itchiest rash! Ugh.

As the week went on, the numbers I saw weren't low enough to warrant a decrease, and overall she was spending very little time in desirable numbers, so I tried an increase to see if it would work better. Things leveled out for a bit but now we're back to the trampoline. This cat can hit a green off of ANY preshot . . . it makes me think of the CFL's "No Lead is Safe" slogan (the July 20th, 2006 Winnipeg/Edmonton game is my fave!!)

I am already feeding her at PS and +1.5, which seemed to help for a while but is no longer preventing these crazy drops. I guess I will try to get a later test today to see if I am missing numbers that call for a decrease. If anyone has good ideas for super-bouncy cats please feel free to share!

Other than the rash, I hope you had a good vacation.

Given that I have a diving diva of a kitty, what I do is split Gabby's food into 4 portions. I feed at pre-shot, +1, +2, and +3. You may want to experiment with spreading out Papaya's food a bit more and see if this helps with the diving.

Thanks, Sienne, vacation at least meant that I got to enjoy Mom cooking all the meals!

To be precise, I'm feeding 1/2 can FF at PS, another 1/2 can at +1.5ish, and then leaving 1/4 out for her to eat during the day if I'm out, or giving it to her around +5 or 6 if it seems like she's dropping to a late nadir.

I may have a little flexibility in spreading it into smaller portions over more servings, maybe divide the one can into PS/+1.5/+3. I'll try it and see how it goes, thanks.
