The reduced carbs at PS combined with not finishing the morning feed seem to have allowed for a bigger dip at +3.

She got wise to the old ondansetron delivery method, so I'm trying a new one in hope of settling her stomach & boosting appetite. The barf is always liquid & furball, sometime between 1am & 6am. Still sprinkling a small pinch of pepcid (she doesn't seem to notice) and nutritional yeast on her food about twice daily

The numbers look good, but Maus is having an off day. She's sleeping in odd places, sorta hiding, won't let me brush her & hasn't eaten since morning but is drinking more than usual. She vomited a bunch of fur mid-day which is unusual. She is gobbling the 3 pea sized treats she gets for testing (1 sardine, 2 pill pocket as decoys for when she gets a real pill).

I'm going to give another 2mg ondansetron at 8 hours instead of 12; prescription says 2mg every 8-12 hours. Would it be bad to give at 7 hours? My thought is to give it time to act so she eats at PMPS

I think it works pretty quickly and you can give it 20-30 mins before meal time.

Don't know if you've seen this section of Dr. Lisa's website that says that frequent hairballs could be a sign of IBD.

Going to tag a few others to chime in about the vomiting and loss of appetite.

Ondansetron usually took 30-45 minutes to work. It took a day or two often to get Max eating better. It can be given every 8 hours. Max needed 2 mg doses of ondansetron.

yes, I've read through that, thanks, a reread never hurts. She's not long hair, more like fuzzy with a downy undercoat & has always been a barfer. Since she spends so much time outside it was hard to track when it got really bad (last fall, not so much fur). The original diagnosis was pancreatitis & I've done a lot of reading about both. I started making bone broth from the raw recipe & other discarded chicken bones & now sub that for half the water, then add water when serving for consistency.

Currently, it's a lot of fur & when not so often, furballs. The lethargy & loss of appetite is new & my worry. Her bg's going low tonight, so maybe that's it as well. Looks like my early carb intervention wasn't enough & we have another reduction.

+2.5/40 Just gave 1tsp 12%, will test in 20
