What a mellow day yesterday... not much happening. Mannie hovered in the upper blues, low yellows for most of the day. We seem to be continuing that today - a 209 at amps. Not too bad, but Mannie? What happened to the greens? Your internal parts want a day off, or what? Back to work today, maybe? cat_pet_icon mind you - this bean is not complaining. There is after all, a noticeable absence of "those unmentionable colors" :-D :cool: :razz: It looks like, with that +2, that maybe today will be a revisit to the land of the greens.... maybe....

All is well in MannieLand this morning. He seems to have forgiven me for his fur mat removal saga, and greeted me this morning with a ton of leg rubs, and head butts, and purrs to break the sound barrier. Either that or he just wanted me to feed him... :lol: Probably the fuds. Breffis was inhaled :shock: , clean plate club status maintained. :cool: and well... we won't discuss the auto feeder. :roll: We've had several face washes, a few quick naps on the nanners, nanners have all been artfully arranged. ;-) and slobbered on. :cool: and chewed. :shock: and rolled on. :razz: and cuddled. :razz: :razz: It looks like it will be a beautiful morning here, sun is coming up over the hills, sunlight streaming in the slider door. Mannie has "seen the light" and is begging to head on out. So I let him. He is all stretched out now on the deck, soaking up the early morning rays. What a life!

Have a great day everyone!!! I am off to DT Seattle later today to visit friends. I have a haircut this AM so I can once again see through the bangs. :lol: That, and Mannie, ought to keep me busy.

My friends!!! What a day yesterday - two pool parties!! AWESOME! What is up today??? Maybe we should go and visit Checkers. He's all alone, cuz his bean has eye surgery today. Maybe we can all get together too and just hang out. We gots some parties coming up, otj parties we need to plan too. and then there is Rusty's cellar... See you guys later? ~~ Mannie

I know all is right with the world when Mannie is being his nanner-loving self. How nice he can get outside and sunbathe!!!! I feel bad sometimes that my poor Champ is relegated to window watching!! One day, he bolted out the front door when I opened it, got to the end of the walkway leading to the driveway, stopped, looked around, and I swear I heard him say, "what am I supposed to do now?", before he turned around and bolted back in the house. :-D Good thing he's an actual scaredy-cat. When he was little, and he was allowed out, I had trained him to come when I whistled. That was many years ago, though, so I don't think a whistle would do any good now and I would hate to lose him to a coyote.

98 @ +3. I switched to a 10% MC for his last mini-meal, just to control the drop. Looks like Mannie wanted to practice a few mini dives....

Hi Patty - oh too funny on Champ and the bolt out of the house. Whole new turf for him there, and what to do. :lol: We are lucky in a way to live in a place where the kitties are not threatened by outdoor critters. They would be indoor kitties for sure if that was the case. I kinda like what Marje has doe for Gracie and the kitties - they have a scree outdoor area for them. A nice solution... and wow on training Champ to respond to a whistle. That is nice. Mannie is just getting older, and just doesn't wander anymore, so safe to go.

Hi Melissa - thanks! Affirmative on the haircut - it is sorely needed! Yes on the visit too. It will be good to see friends. :cool: :-D :-D

Nice to see Mannie coming back to the greens. Tess sometimes sneaks out, but after about 6 feet she can't resist flopping down and rolling on the cement. :lol: Pretty easy to catch. Have fun in Seattle today.

Mannie, you don't like to be brushed? Ohhhh, i like it so much I even let the strange manbean get close enough to brush me. Checks needs company, lets hang w/ him. He must miss his mom. -- Tess

Hi roni - thx! weekend was good, Seattle will be too. Always nice to see friends! I remember those cigars. I keep meaning to get one for the others - maybe Mannie would leave that along and let the girls have the cigars.... one can only hope.

77 @ +4. I went with the 14% , with a small drop of karo. I will be gone, potentially to Mannie's +5.5, and want to be sure he is safe - well as sure as I can be. Therefore the karo, otherwise I would not have added it. I hope it doesn't send him skyrocketing - shouldn't....

Wow, I just got home and catching up and looks like a nice day for Mannie! Glad to see he's forgiven you for the de-matting. Also back to his routine with the nanners. It sounds like a nice day for you today with friends and getting a haircut. I always love getting my hair done. Have a wonderful time today.

I just now have had time to look at condos and what a surprise when I looked at Mannie's! I guess he listened to you and decided to come back down to the greens. Of course, it is always when you need to leave. Our kitties just want us to think about them every second of the day! Hope you had a chance to get your haircut...I just got mine done and I knew it was time when people asked me at work if I was feeling ok because I didn't look good. I'm blaming it on the bangs hanging all over my face instead of just having an "ugly day"! Hope Mannie sufs and doesn't try to get too dramatic tonight.

Hi Barb - Great isn't it! Love the cycle. I had to carb him more than I wanted to a couple of times, but it worked out OK. And thx!: I had a great time with my buds. it is always nice to get together over a cup of ~O) :-D

Hi Georgia - oh I know --- alwasy down tothe low stuff when you want to take off. It worked out OK. Hair place is really close, and it was late enough in his cycle when I headed to town that I thought he'd be OK. I hope he surfed the 90-110, seems like me may have. :-D Oh too funny on the people at your work asking if you were OK. Amazing what a difference hair can make. :lol: and yeah - I know on the bangs - same here.... :roll: and thanks - I hope Mannie leaves the drama at the door too. :cool:

Hi Lauren - (that is correct, yes?) thx! he was very happy too that he got to soak up the sun, it rained for a bit after that - but by then he was in for a nanner nap. :lol: :lol: Now that the sun has reappeared the sunshine worshiper is back out there, getting a few more rays.

What a nice cycle there today for Mannie. Somebody was jumping for the green numbers!

Now Mannie or should we say...Mannie's liver...there's nothing to fear. Mannie has a terrific bean here.

Hi Michelle, Hi Mannie, That was quite a string of green today! I got here late and therefore could see all the numbers as they flashed by!! So both you and Mannie got haircuts!! That's really how to bond with your kitty!!
Thanks for checking in on us in our absence. We are fine. My sister got home safely, had a wonderful time (she loves the Adirondacks), and has decided to forget about her achy knees and come to Canoe Outing in July. Edward and I are very pleased.

Hi Carolyn - omg, and :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: I cannot tell you how many times I have looked at that and NOT noticed that the days were off.... thank you for telling me. I wonder how long it would be before I noticed my days we outta whack. :roll: oh LOL, that will be my laugh for the day. ohmygod_smile

ETA: sorry Carolyn - I forgot to answer this when I did the post... KTSS = Kittenhood of Traveling Soup and Spa. This whole thing evolved when Stu was still with us. He was sick one day, Mannie decided he needed some chicken soup so he would feel better. So began the first visit of kitties traveling with soup for their sick friends. Muffin was next, One visit lead to another, etc. Some where down the line Ann of Ann and Tess named the group, and Marje of Marje and Gracie added the spa aspect, along with Tess's concept of the spa line. so...... anytime one of the LL kitties is sick, or have been to the vetty, the KTSS comes to call, buckets of soup, and oodles of spa essentials.

Hi Beth - Loved the post. I talk to his liver all the time. I wonder if it listens. :roll: :lol: :lol: I did like the morning cycle - YAY!, and thanks on the rest - you are too kind.

Hi Ella - thanks - it was indeed a good morning. Considering I had to take off a couple of times I am elated it went as well as it did. SWEET! It is kinda cool sometimes when you come into someone's condo at the end of the day, and can scroll down, and watch the numbers do their thing. :cool: and :lol: :lol: on the bonding thing via the trimmed locks. We BOTH needed it! -- YAY on your sister!! I am glad that she will do the July outing . I am impressed with her - isn't she in her 80's? Or am I mistaken? I would be pleased too - that is just so cool. GO SIS!

Rusty!!! I am working on the bus now... Gotta get it all ready for our trek to camp Stu. I am SO EXCITED!!!!!! I LUBS camp stu. ooooooooooo - what shall we grill? I can bring some salmon - they are swimming out in the sound. YUM! gotta go - much to do on the bus. ~~ Mannie
