Good morning and happy Sunday everyone,

April, Carla, Mary Ann and Wendy -- thanks for the welcome back messages. I was semi-comatose yesterday, it seems the older I get, the harder it is to recover from travelling. And this was a relatively short flight! Sheesh. A bottle Amaretto broke in my luggage, so have lots laundry to do today. The cruise ship had packed these so well, but I`ve seen from the window of the plane how our luggage is tossed around, so guess I shouldn`t be surprised.

Wendy, I took your suggestion and have gone back to dosing Lulu 1u this a.m. Her BG was high this a.m., due to the 18 hrs since her last shot, so I`ll be checking in a few hours to see how she`s doing.

Otis, my civie, is being so clingy and lovey since I got back. All of them are being very sweet, but Otis is on my lap whenever I sit down, follows me around, brings me toys...he`s such a suck, but I love it.

As I`ve read through the posts, I`m sad to see that some of our kitties have gone ahead. May they meet at Rainbow Bridge and frolic and play together.

Healing vines to all in need.

Good luck on the increase. I hope it encourages Lulu to ditch those unflattering pinks!

Bummer on the amaretto bottle. We once had a bottle of rum crack open on a trip back from the Caribbean. I remember all the work to clean that up.

Holy To-ledo!! - she's really dropped since AMPS. She's feeling pretty good, playing with toys as though she were a kitten again. Will test again in another hour, or sooner if she starts showing hypo signs.

Way to work that juice and wake MamaBean up, Lulu!!! Surf it now, little one!

I love the sweet way kitties show their beans how much they've been missed. Enjoy all the toys you're getting as "welcome home" gifts! What a bummer about the amaretto...lost liquid gold and a mess to boot :(...

Quite a dive, Lulu!
Paws crossed she surfs safely.

It's makes us feel so wonderful and so loved when our kitties are happy to see us back, doesn't it?
And some people still believe cats don't get attached to their human!

Still dropping, but slowly. Sorry little girl, another pokey coming up in a bit.

Right on, Mariko! Cats are wonderful little critters, I adore them. They are so smart and so affectionate. I don`t understand people who say that dogs are better companions, my kitties are all lovey-dovey, they sing to me, they comfort me, they`re so soft and fuzzy, there is no sound in nature more soothing than a kitty`s purr.

Wow, talk about getting right back on track once she's back on schedule! :D Looking awesome Lulu - now why don't you show us how well you can surf! :D :D

Yo, Lulu. Michael here at the Lagoon! Don't go too deep. Stay more towards shore.
We can surf together:cat::D

at least amaretto isn't staining....
I once carried 2 glass catsup bottles to summer camp ( when I was 12)
those broke....
I had to wash my stuff in the shower ( no machines at camp)

Oh no, Liz, that's a drag :(. I wash my hands a bazillion times on a cruise. Glad that Anne didn't catch it, these things can spread like wildfire on a cruise ship. Outside of getting sick, did you enjoy the cruise? Did your captain sail up for a close-up of Hubbard Glacier?

Rhiannon - the stains weren't coming out with just a wash, so I'm presoaking and it is working just fine, thank heavens. Now catsup, that's another story, yikes  That Amaretto would be so much better in a glass right about now. I blame TSA  because they left a note inside my suitcase that they had opened and inspected my luggage. They probably checked the box with two bottles in it (separated by cardboard) and did not repack it carefully. At least the other bottle made it through intact.

I wash my hands a lot too, but apparently not enough. We think about 30% of the passengers got sick. I probably wouldn't do another ocean cruise, maybe a Rhine River cruise. We had a close-up of the Marjerie Glacier, truly amazing. The Alaska scenery was amazing in general. Pictures are good but it's 100 times better being there. We did a float plan tour, landing on one of the lakes in Misty Fjords, which was not misty at all when we were there. I swear our plane came about 10 feet from some cliffs and mountain tops. That didn't bother me at all, for some strange reason, probably because it would be such a beautiful place to die. :joyful:
Liz

Surf safe, Lulu! I'm up on shore tonight, but I've got my eye on you.

Welcome home, Lori. Sounds like you had a good trip, despite the Amaretto mishap.
