Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Elsa - LOTS!!, please...DGS fuel!), and Happy Furday everyone!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! Bug and Lola have taken eh day off. What a relief! I LUBS them, but they make such a mess... Do you believes it? They are still sleeping, and they snore too! Such racket so early in the morning.... I dunno what's worse: their noisy snoring or the mess they make when they are not snoring... so. well. anyways. onwards! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot Breve's made with beans from Ethiopia, and for MochaMannie's mocha fans: a VENTI Quad almond roca infused mocha, with chocolate caramel whip, garnished with caramelized almond clusters, chocolate shavings, a dusting of crystallized caramel and dark chocolate drizzle AND a dollop of almond roca ice cream .... YUM! I hear that Mannie is convinced that the ice cream was a good idea... :-D I thinks it is mega cool! SWEET!

It is so cool to see how well Lola and Bug have hit it off with Nicholas. Yesterday was another great day for the three of them. Elsa takes it all in stride and I think she is glad that the attention is there, and not with her. She likes her sleep too much! :-D Yesterday Nicholas thought it would be great to bring Big Bird to breffis too, so he did. That of course required that a few photos be taken! :lol: :lol: Breffis with Big Bird I have no clue what my photo upload did, but some of the river photo album things are in this one... sorry!

This is from yesterday's condo - our river adventure: salmonberries RULE! --" Nicholas and I ended up on the Skykomish River after all. The weather was predicted to be partially sunny, so off we went. Well..... rained when we got there, never really did see the sun, but we had a great time anyways. Nicholas able to see a train on the way up, near Gold Bar where the tracks parallel the Highway. At the spot we were at on the river is a railroad bridge that crosses the river further on down. While we were the another train came through. He was so excited: running down the sandy part of the shore shouting "TRAIN!!!" :lol: :lol: Afterwards we went on a salmonberry hunt. He loves wild berries, so off we went to see if we could find some. The fun part was was that he remembered doing that the last trip there, and wanted to find them again. So we did. What a great day!" we also played alot at rivers edge - him testing the waters, as far in as he could get. What great fun. He was tired by noon, so I packed him in the car, and while he slept I went up further into the mountains to a river we visited alot last summer. I wanted to see it's condition, snow, no snow etc. It was perfect! a bit cold, but wow! Beautiful. In the album to follow, the last set of river photos is of Beckler River. The first part of the album is the Skykomish where Nicholas and I played. The video is of the Beckler River. Skykomish River with Nicholas, and the Beckler River. There are alot of Lola and Bug photo's that ended up in this album - seems I had a few Picassa issues yesterday. ;-)

Have a great day everyone! It is a swim day for Nicholas, and whatever else presents itself for the afternoon.I so hope the weather will be good. I will try and get to condos when I can.

Love the big bird pics!! Nicholas is growing up way too fast. Slow down little guy. :lol: How is Erin feeling?

It warms my heart so much to see how well Lola and Bug are doing and how well they are doing with Nicholas. I bet it is a huge comfort for Elsa too. Have a wonderful day Michelle!!

Love the Big Bird pics, too...soooo cute! Hunting for berries sounds like a blast, and such a cool thing to do. I love how adventurous you guys are! I bet Elsa loves having the little ones around...they're company for her, and a distraction for the FISH!

I love how Nicholas takes care of all the animals, even Big Bird! Too cute!

Elsa, Thanks for the ice cream coffee! Deeelish! PS: I watched the video and love how you look at the newbies running down the hall; I could practically hear you mutter "Rookies." :lol: Kids these days. :-D

Morning Michelle love the pics of Nicholas and kitties and Big Bird having breffifs, and also Teddy Bear, too! Lola and Bug have just taken to Nicholas, so sweet.
Great pics of the Beckler River and afternoon venture, too. When he sleeps, you can tell he has really played to the max. :-D
Elsa, thanks you for the coffee and Triple Espressos. I hear the rookies have a day off! :lol: You better watch as if it's too quiet, they may be up to something.

Hi Michelle. Great pics once again especially #19 of Nicolas and Big Bird sitting at the table eating berries. You are giving him so many great memories and will have a great time sitting down with him when he gets older looking at these pics together. You'll be amazed at the little things he remembers from each outing. He's a very lucky little guy.

Nicholas definitely loves his berries! Wild or for breakfast. Love it when a kid loves fruit. :-D I can hardly wait for huckleberry season. I bet Nick loves them too.

Your new kitties are doing so well, in spite of slacking off on coffee duties today. :lol: It looks like Lola must have lived in a family with children before, she seems to be always near Nicholas. Great video yesterday of the kitties playing. Scritches to Elsa from me, the others seem to get lots of attention from DGS.

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all having the best of days. Nicholas an I have just returned from another mart hon session at the pool. The energizer FISH was just that - energized! :shock: Today was the day of playing on those floating mats... whatever they are called. they are about 3' square, and the kids can sit on them and float around the pool. What a hoot! Of course Nicholas didn't want to just float arounf the pool. He discovered that if he leans just a little it tilts, and if he leans alot it flips him. omg.... flip flip flip over and over again. :lol: :lol: :lol: than he discovered that if he leans backyards, and enough of his body is over eh edge than he does back flips. :shock: :lol: :lol: :lol: flip flip flip over and over again. What FUN he had today. We did the pool trail after that. The salmon berries are really coming into fruit right now and he found a patch of them at the trail entrance. Well of course that led to a berry hunt, so off e went in search of more salmon berries, We really did find alot. The little guy was able to STUFF himself with salmon Berries. :roll: :lol: :lol: :lol: What a great morning... It is no surprise to me that he is now crashed in his bed, major ZZZzzzzzzz's ruling the roost. Sleep well little man, you deserve it.

Hi Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics - that one was fun. He LOVES Big Bird! I know on the growing up too fast. THX too on Erin - she is doing well, psyched and ready to have this baby. She's done very well with the new one, no major issues, and we hope that liver things stays at bay. THX so much on Lola and Bug and Elsa - i feel the same.

HI Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the pics - kinda fun aren't they. I SO AGREE ion the berry hunting., Nicholas just LOVES it, we ended up doing the same thing after the pool today. THX too on the adventure thing - we do have fun. I hope so too on Elsa - she seems to like them well enough, and they give her company while also leaving her alone, ad ever so true on occupying Nicholas. ;-)

HI Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) THX so much on the photos - breffis has gotten to be such a show now. Lola and Bug always show... Mannie must have some influence there - he always dd too. ;-) THX on the river shots - it love it there, an incredible beautiful place. OH yeah - one can see the fatigue, and then the deep sleep on his face. Those naps are well deserved! :-D THX on today - it has been great.

Hi John ~O) ~O) ~O) Many thank on the pics. I had to laugh when he brought Big Bird to the table with him. why not, all in a mornings good fun. Bird sure ate his fair share! :lol: :lol: Many thanks too on all you wrote. I so hope, and do believe, that when he looks back they will be good memories. I so think I am one lucky grammie to have a DGS who responds to all of this. He loves the outdoors, loves to go on adventures. I couldn't ask for anything more. Awesome tines!

Hi Wendy ~O) ~O) ~O) YES on the berries! :shock: He can't get enough - whether for breffis or our in the woods. they rule in his book. I so agree on kids liking fruit. Elated that he loves the stuff. :-D YUPP too on huckleberries - if its on a trail, or woods or whatever he is so there. loves them all. I do wonder on Lola - she is so at ease with kids that I think maybe she came from a family with kids. it really seems like she had a good home before. makes me wonder why she ended up in a shelter. one will never know... but I am so glad she is with us. Quite the character, and ever so fun. and I will make sure Elsa gets those scritches.

That's so cute with Nicholas bringing Big Bird to breakfast. That's so funny Nicholas learned to flip off the mats. He does love the water.

Hi Carla :-D Yup, I had a good laugh over Big Bird joining him for his breffis. it was really cute, and he made sure he got fed too! Pretty darn clever on those mats ion the pool. Sure kept me on my toes when he did that. :lol:

Thanks for your visit last night. I'm glad you're still around and that Elsa has taken over as Kitteh Barista. Her posts make me laugh each day - just as Mannie's used to.

Hi Grace - thank you! LL has been such a part of my life for such a long time that I just couldn't leave... so we will still be here for a while. I am so glad that you enjoy Elsa's carrying ons... Mannie has tutored her well. ;-) :-D

Michelle, I'm thinking you need to check that boy for gills, fins and flippers!!!! :lol: He's so darn cute and I LOVE the Big Bird breakfast guest!!! :-D So happy to hear that Lola & Bug are settled in and loving all the attention (I bet Elsa's happy the newbies are there!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: ) Yay on the berry hunt. I used to love summertime and going down to the beach and picking raspberries and blackberries. YUM YUM! Hope you all have a wonderful evening. Sleep well.

Salmonberries cracked me up. I kept thinking about the old movie that starred kd lang, set in Alaska. The movie was terrible, but I learned about salmonberries. :lol: It looks like you all had a wunnerful day! :razz:

Those salmon berries look yummy! Wish we had them here!! Just skimmed through your albums as a prelim to looking at the pics tomorrow. Had a great day today, but I'm exhausted.

Hi Deborah - LOL, and that is so true on Nicholas. :lol: He is part fish, I swear. True too on those two settling in. I think you are right on Elsa, she is glad they are here, they get the runs and chases and attention, she left to do Elsa things. ;-) oh yes on the berry hunt. Nicholas loves it, ask now when we go out. Salmonberries are so plentiful her right now - you can find some just about anywhere you go. Makes it easy then to keep a two year old happy. :-D

Hi Anne - salmonberries rule! omg that kid loves them. too funny. we spent alot of time yesterday looking for them. thank goodness we found some! Yupp: yesterday was a good one! :cool:

Hi Ella - Nicholas says I should tell you that those berries were darn good! He ate lot of them. in his book: always room for berries. :cool: I'm so glad you had a good hike yesterday - I will read your condo to see how it went.
