Good Morning All,

Well, not too happy with her number this morning :cry:
Although I had to find her this morning, she was already out on the patio getting ready to watch a little birdie tv :smile:
I'm not sure what time she ate last night or early this am. I left food out and someone ate it. Gotti was boycotting the food yesterday, wasn't tuna :smile: so, I'm wondering if it's a food bounce,
but that's awful high :?

She has been so awesome lately, super, super playful and just fun. Hope I can get her to the blues and greens today cat_pet_icon

I think that it's likely a bounce. Doodles may have gone lower last night or she may be bouncing off of the blue numbers.

Are you going to be around today? If so, would it be possible for you to get a full curve - if not today, then sometime soon? I think you're assuming Doodles' nadir is at +6 and it may not be.

hi heidi and doodles! happy morning! my guess - a bounce. mannie had a nasty one this morning too, never happy about it. it is nice to read that biride tv is good, and that she is so playful, happy. always a good sign.

I should be around to test for her today. I think your right about the nadir. I have not done a full curve on her. I've just been trying different times to see where she's at.
If I can get a full curve this am, do I need to do at night also?

My husband thinks I'm crazy :roll: with all the tests...he feels if she feels fine leave her alone. But I said you don't get it :smile: I have to do this for her, so that all these great people can
help me out :-D

Trying to get a curve...

+1 340 only 1hr after eating breakfast
+2 288 2 hours no food/after BG doodles had a snack 1tsp of FF she ate it all! Then back upstairs to chase birds ;-)

She is in great spirits today!!

For a full curve, you can test every 2 hours!! (Save a strip, save an ear!)

You might point out to your DH that cats are the grand masters of hiding how they are feeling when they are sick or in pain. They are able to compartmentalize acute pain and function and if it were a human with the same pain, we'd be completely incapacitated. No doubt, if Doodles was anything like Gabby, she was diabetic for at least several weeks before diagnosed. In addition, having the test data allows you to make good decisions about dose -- decisions that are very hard to make safely if you don't have the data.

Wow, I'm very excited about today's numbers...ok, didn't know I could do every two hours :? but she's been such a trooper, I shake the strip bottle and she comes righ out from
under the patio chair, purs and let's me do my thing. I told her after her pmps tonight I would only check twice...too much pokin today cat_pet_icon

It will be interesting now to watch what happens, I'm not going to ruin this with hc kibbles because she's in the low's :-D

will post later...oh...BTW she caught another bird took to her daddy bean in his office and let it go :lol: :lol: :lol: the bird got stuck, now Gotti and Doodles are on a mission and my hubby
is scrambling :lol: We got the cats out, shut the door, opened the windows and let her take her time...she finally left ;-)

Beautiful numbers. I wonder if being the mighty hunter had any influence? No doubt, Doodles and Gotti were very proud of themselves.

I know it so looks like Doodles :lol: she's been on a roll, I'm so happy.
I talk to her vet tomorrow :-D I'm so excited about the progress right now...I'm also her only patient on lantus. Who knows maybe we can save some other
kitties ;-)

Since she's had such great numbers I thought we could take the rest of the night off of constent testing...maybe a +6 and a +8 since I think she may nadir at 8....
she's has truly been the trooper today.

what an awesome day for doodles. VERY NICE!!! I should have doodles come and show Mannie how it is done.

It is so great when they have days like these. Way to go Doodles!

Slow the drop with some LC food. It is a big drop in 2 hours. See if some LC will get Doodles on her surfboard.

anybody up incase I need help? anxious mama bean with the low numbers.

she's dropped to +6 65 yikes....gave her some special kitty think it's a little hc wet, she really wasn't in the mood to eat, but she did some food down with coaxing.
She went to her cat post and scratched, then to her box to chew. Will take another test in 30 minutes to see where she's at nailbite_smile

hope I'm doing the right thing!!!!

ok...so the super supper dinner is still low carb but it was all I could get her to eat...she seems fine, got a little scared couldn't find her and she was laying down on the animal print
comforter and blended :shock: ohmygod_smile it's late ~O)
I'm hoping she doesn't drop too low because I believe her nadir to be at +8 nailbite_smile
