Butch Libre expired 5/28 PMPS +3 84. The new Libre was placed yesterday late in the day. I am not sure what's going on, but Butch has been testing in the 300s. It could possibly be some bouncing. Maybe, when I wasn't able to test, he decided to go into low greens.

I am thinking of waiting it out before an increase... Advice is much appreciated

I remember reading here that for the first 12 hours (or was it 24 hours) the Libre gives wonky readings? It's also possible that he's bouncing from lows he saw in the 3 cycles when you didn't hhave the Libre.

Will he not let you test him with a regular meter?

@Bandit's Mom Due to my hand dexterity, I am not able to test with a regular meter.

Wow. I'll have to look back at his spreadsheet and see if there were more wonky readings when the Libre was replaced. I was thinking he's bouncing too. Butch loves to bounce. He's definitely, peeing more today. How long does a bounce usually last?

Going to do a check in an hour it would be nice to see some blue tonight.

He will pee more when in higher numbers. Bounces can take up to 6 cycles to clear.

@Bandit's Mom Just did +3 90, that's a big drop. I was not expecting green. He's having a snack now.

You want to add a snack at +2 if he isn't already getting one. That will reduce the diving at onset.

@Bandit's Mom Thank you. I do try to get that +2 snack in. I need to remind myself even with high BG a snack should be given. Sometimes at +1 if he has small portion of left over food from his PS, he'll finish it.
