Good morning! Nice to see this lovely blue today and maybe she can see a green or too also. I leave at 10:30 for work and mom will be testing . I will get a +2 and +3 before I leave. Also, I accidentally put the wrong food in her dish this am meant for civvie Molly. It is Natural Balance limited ingredient venison. She only got a couple bites before I realized my mistake. Hope it doesn't spike her #s. Have a great weekend everyone!

Very nice AMPS today! Looks like Chi Chi had a very good night. I hope she turns it around and that rise was just the wrong food talking.

My oh my ! She really went right up today into tonight. I wondering if I might have given a fur shot last night :? . I remember thinking I might have, and said to my mom that I smelled insulin, after I smoothed over her fur with my hand where I shot. But quickly figured it was on the syringe from squirting out excess. She has a ton of fur..a ton! Thinking of getting her shaved down again soon. We usually do it once a year, and shes due. Just havent wanted to stress her out by taking her and putting her thru that just yet. Well, we will see what happens tomorrow. I will give her a pokie break til am.

If you did a fur shot, I'd think it would have been this morning. Last night's shot got her down nicely. Maybe she's bouncing cause she came down a bit fast at one point last night. Oh well, looks like she's turning it around already tonight.

Thanks Wendy. This am I did what I do sometimes when I have trouble pinching the skin, and that is what the vet showed me. She said I can just pull up a swatch of fur and insert needle just under that swatch. Do you think I shouldnt do it that way?

People here have different methods of shooting. Some I think work better with long haired cats. I've done my fair share of fur shots - a number of them because Neko decides just the wrong time to move. :roll: Have you seen Marje's post on Testing and Shooting Tips? I think just experiment until you find what works for you. DH and I use different methods.
